Ethanol Ventures are the proud sponsorsof Bear Grylls' coldest and most daringmission to date in the sub-zerowilderness of Antarctica.

In December 2008, Bear and his teamtravelled to one of the least exploredregions of Antarctica in an audacious bidto climb one of the most remoteunclimbed peaks on earth and to explorepart of the great continental ice-shelf byjetski and inflatable boat, partly poweredby bioethanol, an almost entirely carbonneutral fuel alternative.

The team used many different forms ofalternative energy, including:
