THE FUTURE FOR F LEXThe road to !ex was paved with good intentions, but it’s time for a change.

FLEXIBLE BENEFITS

Over time, ‘choice’ came to mean complexity. Complexity is rarely cheap, and even more rarely is it "exible.

WHAT NEXT?

If your "ex product portfolio o#ers travel insurance from company A, what about the employees who, for reasons of their own, want to get their travel insurance from companies B-Z?

You don’t get to be market leader by standing still. Over the last 4 years, Asperity has re-invented its Reward Gateway employee bene"ts platform no less than 6 times - making it clear that an employee bene"ts site with genuine discounts and savings for the employee was in demand. With three total re-builds from the ground up, customers are buying a highly re"ned product and one that includes a great deal of knowledge and experience. With Reward Gateway 4, announced last month, Asperity has done it again.

George: What made you decide to go with an employee bene"ts service at Aviva?

Sarah:

G: What persuaded you to choose your current discounts provider, Asperity?

S:

G: What role does e#ective account management on the part of your bene"ts provider play in helping you achieve your company’s bene"ts objectives?

S:

G: Is there anything about your employee discounts service that you have been pleasantly surprised by?

S:

G: Do you think there are some facets of the service that appeal to certain types of employee that aren’t internet enabled?

S:

G: Presumably that kind of regular shopping is something you’d want to encourage rather than the ad hoc transactions - so that you can keep the service in people’s minds all the time?

S:

EMPLOYER TALK

9.8.

G: Are there any other methods of communication you’ve found to be e#ective to get employees onto the discount site?

S:

G: So do you actually hunt out bene"ts champions to try and get them to promote the o#ers?

S:

G: What do you think is going to come next as far as bene"ts is concerned?

S:

Aviva’s Reward Consultant, Sarah Moore, talks to Asperity’s Client Service Director, George Farrow, about the reasoning behind adding an employee discount scheme to Aviva’s benef its portfolio in 2010, and the ingredients of a successful benef its communication programme.
