STEP 1: Keywords

• Use keyword tools like Google Toolbar’s suggestions and WordTracker– To pick your topic– To pick the name of the blog– To identify topics to write about

• Each page / post should focus on a unique “keyword theme”

STEP 2: SEO Content

• Use your “keyword theme” in your post title, content, and title tag

• Use the “SEO Title Tag” WordPress plugin so you can have a longer title tag with extra synonyms, verb tenses, plural / singular

• Use “Pages” (not “Posts”) for evergreen content

STEP 3: Monetize!

• Google AdSense– Up to 3 ad units – “above the fold” – per page– Link unit – blend it in with the navigation– Match your page content’s font size and color– Make the ad unit blend in – no border around it, no
