preliminary round but MUST become fully paid up members to compete at their Area Competition. Membership forms will be available from the Secretary.

First 4 qualify for the Area Competition plus any tying.

Rosettes to 6th place in each section.

Rosette to highest place Hampshire Hunt Member in all classes.

Commanders are allowed in all classes

The competition will be run in accordance with the 2016 Pony Club Dressage Rule Book

and Dengie Dressage Rules 2016/2017.

All PC tests available to download on the Pony Club website.

Competitors must report to the Tack Check Steward 15 minutes before the time allotted for their test.

There will be an unmounted prize giving after each class/section.

RULES and CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Please Read This Page Carefully

DISCLAIMER OF LEGAL LIABILITY: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his/her tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

HEALTH, SAFETY & WELFARE: The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable

precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.

1. INSURANCE: All non Pony Club competitors/spectators are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Hampshire Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance policies will not cover you.

2. All persons entering the showground shall be bound by these Rules and Conditions of Entry. 3. This event will be run under Pony Club Dressage Rules 2016 throughout the day. Fully

comprehensive rules are available on the main Pony Club website: www.pcuk.org. 4. A copy of the Rule Book will be held with the Secretary on the day of the competition. 5. Cancellation/Abandonment: In the event of cancellation or abandonment, entry fees will be

returned, less an administration fee of £3.00 per competitor, to offset costs. All money will only be returned upon receipt of an SAE.

6. Refunds: No entry will be refunded after the entry closing date, without the production of a Doctor’s or Vet’s certificate within 7 days of the event.

7. The judges’ decision is final in all matters. Video evidence will not be accepted in any circumstances. The committee reserves the right to cancel, add to or amend any of the conditions or competition schedule as they think fit and to refuse entry at their discretion, without stating reasons.

8. Protests or objections must be made in writing and addressed to the Official Steward accompanied by a £20 deposit, returnable if the objection is upheld, within 30 minutes of the incident occurring or within 30 minutes of the results being announced. After due consideration of the objection, the judge’s decision is final.

9. Hats: All competitors must wear a protective Helmet manufactured to the minimum standards stated in the current Pony Club Rules. When mounted the chinstrap must be fastened at all times. Dark blue or black hats only please.

10. Hats & Body Protectors (if worn) will be inspected when collecting numbers. 11. No horse or pony may be ridden more than once in a class. 12. Any Pony Club members using spurs must have a signed Spurs Card from their DC, which

should be available to be viewed at any time during the competition. 13. On the day of the competition, horses/ponies may only be ridden by the competitor in

designated warm up areas. Horses/ponies must be walked in all other areas. Horses/ponies cannot be ridden by anyone else other than the competitor. No lungeing allowed on site.

14. Please park where instructed by the stewards. 15. Please ensure that your horse/pony has an up to date vaccination certificate, which is available

to be checked on the day if required. 16. Horses and ponies must be over 4 years old on the day of the competition. 17. Dogs must be on short non-extendable leads at all times.
