WILD BEARS PRESENTATION
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 6:30 P.M.

Are bears coming to Rhode Is-
land? Recently black bear sight-
ings have been reported in
Rhode Island. If and when they
are coming to settle here is still
debated by resource managers and scientists. However, in
the meantime the public should be prepared and learn
more about these creatures so we can live without fear and
co-exist peacefully. Specialist Gerald Krausse, who has
spent five years in Maine filming black bears, will present
some of his findings and selected video clips. Registration is

SEA GLASS JEWELRY CLASS
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 6:30 P.M.
LOCATION: KINGSTON FREE LIBRARY
Join us a local artisan, Georgia Hitti, teaches a
free sea glass jewelry making class. You will
have the opportunity to choose a piece of lo-
cally collected sea glass and be instructed on
wire wrapping a sea glass pendant. All glass,
wire, charms, and tools will be provided. Each person goes
home with their pendant and an 18 inch silver plated chain.
If you have a special piece of sea glass you would like to
use, feel free to bring that. This is a beginner class and the
minimum age is 14. Registration required, contact 783-

All branches of the South Kingstown Public
Library will be closed Monday, November
12 for Veterans’ Day.
All branches will be closing early at 5:00 PM on
Wednesday, November 21, and all day Thursday,
November 22 for Thanksgiving.

Hear how South
Kingstown answered the
call to war, mobilized
those eligible for service,
kept the home front
engaged, and honored
and commemorated those who served. A presentation will
feature photographs and history of the time, Broad Rock
Middle School students will perform music of the period,
and letters from local soldiers overseas will be read.

A READABLE FEAST: A COOKBOOK BOOK GROUP

NATIONAL NOVEL WRITING MONTH NOTEBOOKS

It’s National Novel Writing Month!
Whether you like writing short stories
or epics, poems or song lyrics, teens in
grades 6-12 are invited to stop in at
the Peace Dale Library and customize a creative writing
journal! We’ll have washi tape, pens, and creative writing
prompts to get you started. We’ll have notebooks available
(while supplies last), or bring in one of your own.
TEEN MOVIE MATINEE: SOLO
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2:00-4:30 P.M.

Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to start off
their Thanksgiving break with a showing of
Solo (PG-13). Make a mini light saber and
snack on popcorn. No registration needed.

Celebrate World Kindness Day at the
Peace Dale Library. Wouldn’t the world
be a better place if we were all just a
little bit more kind to each other? Need
some kindness inspiration? Drop by out
teen area November 14-30 and pick a
Kindness Envelope off our wall (while supplies last). Each
envelope contains a surprise Random Act of Kindness that
middle and high school students can complete.

PM for International Games Day!
WE’ll have card and board games,
