Wedding. The traditional and the modern
meet up in this lively, exuberant film
about a large family in India preparing for

Island’s own All in A Chord! With songs
ranging from the familiar to the
innovative, this a cappella group
always provides a fine afternoon’s entertainment. Free and
open to the public and made possible by the Friends of the
Peace Dale Library. Registration is not required.
FRIENDS OF THE PEACE DALE LIBRARY’S HAT SALE
LOCATION: PEACE DALE LIBRARY
The Friends of the Peace Dale Library
announce that a wide assortment of
colorful handmade hats, scarves, and
booties, donated by generous local
handcrafters, are now on display and for sale at the Peace
Dale Library. Hats are $5.00, scarves and bootie sets are
$8.00. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Peace Dale
Library, who fund Library programs for children, teens, and
adults. Donations are still welcome and can be delivered to
the Library through January 19. Items received after the
holidays will be sold at the Friends Book Sale on Saturday,
January 20, 2018 from 9 AM to 2 PM.

holding a like new book sale!
Also from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM we’ll be making unique crafts
using pages from discarded books. Create your very own

FROM SLAVES TO SOLDIERS
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2, 3:00-4:00 P.M.

The Kingston Free Library will be hosting
the South County History Center’s program
“From Slaves to Soldiers: The 1st Rhode Is-
land Regiment in the American Revolution”
during the holiday celebration in Kingston.
Local historian Bob Geake and Tomaquag
Museum director Loren Spears will share the important
story of the war regiment composed of indentured
servants, Narragansett people, and formerly enslaved peo-
ple. No registration required.

Tickets are now on sale for our annual Holiday
Gift Basket Raffle! Stop in at the Peace Dale
Library to see what goodies are in our two
baskets this year—one basket perfect for
adults, the other perfect for kids. Tickets are $1 each or 6
for $5. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Peace Dale
Library.

Friday, December 29th, the Robert Beverly Hale will be
closed that day.
All branches will be closed Saturday, December 30
through Monday, January 1.

Participants will bring three dozen of their
favorite holiday cookie to swap and share
with others. There will be a discussion
