Scheduled posts allow users to create a post in advance, and set it to appear on activity feed at a future date and time. This allows instructors to create posts at convenient times to better manage and control their feed.

Brightspace Assignment Grader – Update Notification | New

A new version detection notification is available for Instructors using Brightspace Assignment Grader with Android or Apple devices. Previously, users were not notified when a new version of the Assignment Grader application became available. Users are now notified when a new version of the Assignment Grader application becomes available in Google Play or Apple Store. The update notification is compatible with Brightspace Learning Environment version 10.7 or later.

Content & HTML Editor - Google Drive and One Drive available - AWS Enabled | New

In Content, Google Drive and One Drive options can be added to the Existing Activities menu. The quicklinks picker in the HTML Editor can also include Google Drive and One Drive options. Private items that are shared to Brightspace Learning Environment from your Google or OneDrive account automatically have their permission updated to View Only so they can be accessed by other users. The Google Drive and One Drive options are available for Activity Feed, Portfolio, Assignments, Lessons, Content, and in the quicklinks picker. Configuration variables have been added to allow administrators to prevent Google Drive and One Drive options from displaying, to ensure that an institution's policies are adhered to.

Data Hub - Hourly data access for Brightspace Data Sets - AWS Enabled | Updated

Brightspace platform 10.7.4 introduced an add-on for the Data Hub tool that generates Brightspace Data Sets on an hourly basis. This feature is intended for administrators with high-frequency reporting needs.

The 10.7.6 release enables hourly data freshness for the following additional Brightspace Data Sets:

• Rubric Assessment Criteria

• Attendance Details

• Attendance Summary

In addition, this release includes the following user interface improvements to the Data Hub tool:

updated or inserted in the previous hour. Each diff is designed to keep the data set up-to-date with minimal overhead, and reduce the time it takes to produce an up-to-date extract to maintain hourly data freshness (depending on the data freshness level the client's package entitles them to).

To address gaps in how data is generated for certain fields in Brightspace Data Sets, this release also introduces the ObjectId field to the Quiz Questions and Survey Questions data sets in the 1.3 release of the Brightspace Data Sets.

In addition, this release introduces Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) to the documentation. ERDs are a graphical representation of the relationships of entities stored in a database.

For more information, refer to the updated Brightspace Analytics - Administrator Guide and Data Hub - Administrator Guide when they are released.

Daylight – Auto-pin future courses in the My Courses widget | New

Future courses are now auto-pinned in the My Courses widget for users who cannot access future courses if d2l.Security.BypassDateCheck is enabled. If the d2l.Security.BypassDateCheck config is enabled for an organization and a user has less than 12 current enrollments, future courses are visible in a read-only state. If a user has more than 12 current enrollments future courses are available via the View All Courses Link. If a user has the See Future Courses role setting enabled, future courses can be accessed.

In Brightspace Learning Environment, the new CritiqueÎt Assignments tool allows instructors to add dynamic text, audio, and video annotations to assignments submitted by learners. By enhancing assignment feedback, instructors can help improve learner engagement and comprehension.

Additional functionality includes:

• Collaborate with learners and other instructors via threaded conversations in real-time or asynchronously

• Peer review assignments

• Grade assignments anonymously (using randomized reviewer names), publicly (visible to all reviewers), or privately (visible only to the instructor and learner)

HTML Editor

If the sub folder contained more items than the parent folder, the files were inaccessible using the user interface with a mouse as there was no scroll bar to scroll down.

Classlist

As a workaround, if you can increase the size of the app on a computer or zoom out, the options function as expected when they are no longer in the More menu.
