BRITISH COLUMBIA HYDRO AND POWER AUTHORITY (“BC HYDRO”) 2011 POWER SMART FORUM CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS HOW TO ENTER No purchase required. All registered attendees at the 2011 Power Smart Forum (to be held at Vancouver Convention Centre on October 17-19, 2011) who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence will be automatically entered into all draws referred to in these rules, except for the Early-bird Draw which is only open to those who have submitted their registration by September 23, 2011 at 5:00pm Pacific Time (“PT”). All entries (Power Smart Forum registrations) must be received by 5:00pm pm (PT) on October 12, 2011 (the “Registration Deadline”). All entries become the property of BC Hydro and will not be returned. BC Hydro and its agents are not responsible for entries lost or misplaced for any reason, including negligence, or for illegible, incomplete, or late entries, which will be void. Registration for the Power Smart Forum is available online at bchydro.com/forum. This contest is exclusively governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein and is void where prohibited or restricted by law. These rules govern all aspects of the Contest and are binding on all participants and their respective heirs, executors, administrators and successors. Participation in this contest constitutes contestant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Contest Rules. All municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations apply. LIMIT ONE (1) entry per person for all draws. PRIZES, DRAWS AND CHANCES OF WINNING a) Early-bird Draw: Draws: Early-bird draw will be conducted on or around September 26, 2011 to select one (1) entry from all registered 2011 Power Smart Forum attendees who had completed their registration by September 23, 2011 at 5:00pm PT. Prize: There is one (1) Early-bird prize available to be won, consisting of: Canadian Princess Resort Fishing Trip, Ucluelet, BC 4 days / 3 nights / 3 7hr fishing trips BC fishing package includes well-appointed resort accommodation, 4-hour guided salmon fishing trips in 17’ Boston Whalers, all tackle, bait, rain gear and the cleaning and packaging of your catch. $500 CAD for meals or other activities. Complimentary airfare is included (departs/returns to/from Vancouver, BC).

CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS

a) Early-bird Draw: Draws: Early-bird draw will be conducted on or around September 26, 2011 to select one (1) entry from all registered 2011 Power Smart Forum attendees who had completed their registration by September 23, 2011 at 5:00pm PT. Prize: There is one (1) Early-bird prize available to be won, consisting of:

Canadian Princess Resort Fishing Trip, Ucluelet, BC 4 days / 3 nights / 3 7hr fishing trips

Any and all other costs associated with the use by the winner and his/her guests of the prize, other than those specifically referred to above, are the responsibility of the winner. The approximate value of the prize is estimated at $ 2300.00 Chances of Winning: Depend upon the number of eligible Power Smart Forum registrations completed by the Early-bird deadline of 5:00 pm (PT) on September 23, 2011. Selected entrants will be contacted by telephone or email within two (2) weeks of the draw.

b) Tradeshow Draws: Draws: Random draws will be conducted on or after October 12, 2011 to select four (4) entries from all registered attendees at the 2011 Power Smart Forum who have completed their registration by the Registration Deadline (excluding those already awarded a prize in this contest). Prizes: There are 4 individual prizes available to be won:

Tradeshow Lunch • Earl’s gift certificate value $250.00 • Thrifty Foods gift certificates value $250

Tradeshow Reception • Rocky Mountaineer Sea to Sky return trip for two to Whistler approx. value $500.00 • Thrifty Foods gift certificates value $250

Chances of Winning: Depend upon the number of eligible Power Smart Forum registrations completed by the Registration Deadline. Selected entrants will be contacted by telephone or email within two (2) days of the draw and once winners have complied in full with these rules and been declared winners, those winners will be announced at the Power Smart Forum Tradeshow Lunch on October 18, 2011 between 12:00pm – 1:30pm or at the Tradeshow Reception on October 18, 2011 between 4:30pm – 6:00pm. Please Note: winners must be available to attend either the Tradeshow Lunch or the Tradeshow Reception and receive their prize to be eligible. If a selected entrant is not able to confirm their attendance at the Tradeshow Lunch or Tradeshow Reception, that entrant will be disqualified and another entry will be selected from the remaining eligible entries.

c) On-line Post Event Survey Draw: Survey draw will be conducted on or around Monday, November 7, 2011 to select one (1) entry from all registrants who completed the 2011 Power Smart Forum on-line survey by Friday, November 4, 2011 at 5:00pm PT. Prize: There is one (1) prize to be won, consisting of

• River Rock Resort – one night’s stay for two including buffet brunch • Approximate value is. $300.00

Chances of Winning: Depend upon the number of eligible Power Smart Forum Registrants who have completed the on-line survey by November 4, 2011 at 5:00 pm (PT).

Selected winner will be contacted by telephone or email within two (2) weeks of the draw.

ADMINISTRATION Random draws for the various portions of this contest will be conducted by BC Hydro or its representatives on the dates set out above. In order to be eligible to win, selected entrants in all draws will be contacted within two (2) days of the respective draw and, before being declared a winner, will be required to (a) correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question and (b) sign a standard Declaration, Release and Waiver of Liability form, confirming compliance with the contest rules and acceptance of prize as offered, acknowledging that BC Hydro and its agents are not responsible for any injury, accident, loss or misfortune relating to the prize and consenting to the use by BC Hydro of their name, image and statements for promotional purposes without compensation other than the prize awarded. At least 5 attempts over the three business days following the respective draw will be made to contact the selected entrant. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted in this manner, that entrant will be disqualified and another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entrants for the prize in question. The Declaration and Release documents must be returned within 2 business days of delivery or, at the discretion of BC Hydro, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to another randomly selected entrant.

ELIGIBILITY The contest is open to all registered delegates at the 2011 Power Smart Forum (to be held at Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver on October 17-19, 2011) who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, except employees, representatives or agents of BC Hydro and its advertising and promotional agencies and the immediate families and household members of those persons.

CONDITIONS By participating in the contest, participants accept and agree to these rules and the decisions of BC Hydro, which shall be final and legally binding. BC Hydro is not responsible for entries lost, misdirected, illegible, or delayed for any reason whatsoever. By entering, winners agree to the use of his/her name, address, photographs, voice and statements for advertising and promotional purposes without compensation other than the prize awarded. Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions in cash or otherwise, except at BC Hydro’s sole and exclusive discretion. BC Hydro reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent value if any prize cannot be awarded as described. All decisions of BC Hydro are final in all matters relating to this Contest. BC Hydro and its affiliates and agents will not be responsible for illegible, incomplete, lost, misdirected or late entries, which will be void. All entries become the property of BC Hydro and will not be returned.
