Airbag, includingone-piece-wovencushionsBoth OptiMax rapier or OMNIplus 800 airjet weavingmachines can be used or weaving airbag abric. Bothmachine types can also be equipped with Jacquard toweave one-piece-woven (OPW) cushions.

OptiMax rapier weaving machines are equipped with FreeFlight rapiers. The warp yarns do not necessarily have tobe sized. OptiMax also make it possible to produce denser

abrics without giving up much on speed.

Both the OptiMax and OMNIplus 800 weaving machineshave a rein orced backrest and rein orced cloth take-up per ect or the high warp tensions typical o airbag

weaving. The ull-width temple does not need to be cutto length. Laser warp stop motions are available as anoption.

With the patented Autospeedsystem, the OMNI plus 800airjet machine adjusts itsspeed or optimum quality, regardless o the yarncharacteristics throughoutthe bobbins.

Awning and lighttent fabricsThanks to their fexibility, both the OptiMax rapier andOMNIplus 800 airjet weaving machines are ideal or theseasons-dependent manu acturing o awning abrics. Both machines can weave curtains or garden urniture

abrics with minimal adjustments. OptiMax rapierweaving machines are pre erred when the number oharnesses is high or when extreme densities are required. Both machines can handle slub yarns. Temple rollers and

ull-width temples are easily interchangeable. Knot- reeweaving is available as an option.

The abric is guided over theirst pressure roller to avoid

    distortion o the pick (onOptiMax).

The cloth take-up on heavystyling is rein orced.

Car seatsWhen we t variety is no big issue, car seat abrics arebest woven with the high-speed OMNI plus 800 airjetweaving machines. For taslanized we t yarns thatcan deposit spin inish or oligomeres, OptiMax rapierweaving machines are recommended.

Thanks to the rein orced backrest and cloth take-up,the hand o the abric remains consistent over thewhole width. Temple rollers and ull-width temples areeasily interchangeable. As an option on OMNI plus 800airjets, the selvedge yarns can be drawn rom normalbobbins when using Klcker Propeller splits. Beamsup to 1,100 mm are standard.

Coating fabricsFree Flight OptiMax rapier weaving machines are ideal

or coating abrics up tot 360 cm wide. This high-speedweaving machine can handle T0, V0 and T60 yarns inwe t and warp, in single and double insertion (up to1,100 dTex). Also mono l yarns up to 0.3 mm diametercan be woven with the standard set o grippers. OptiMaxrapier weaving machines can handle the widest varietyo yarn types, supplied by the widest range o yarnsuppliers.

For very open constructions, a turning spreader bar isinstalled to sa eguard the integrity o the abric duringtake-up. Knot- ree weaving is available as an option. The abric cover is always ne thanks to the small shedopening, which keeps warp tensions low. The warptension is controlled by a very accurate tension meter.

Temple rollers can be positioned outside the machinesuse ul width so as not to distort the pick line.

Picanol recommends its OMNI plus 800 airjet weavingmachines or lighter-weight yarns (up to 550 dTex) or orsmaller widths (up to 280 cm wide). In this range, thequality and the power usage remain within the physicalreach o todays airjet technology.

Tire cordJust-in-time requirements and cost reduction havebecome absolutely imperative in the tire cord weavingbusiness. Margins or error are smaller than ever be ore.Operators are there ore looking or dependability andper ormance in their equipment.

The OMNIplus 800 TC is the most advanced tire cordweaving machine currently available. It has an integrateddesign o mechanical and electronic components, allengineered and produced at Picanol and based on itslatest OMNIplus 800 airjet weaving technology.

OMNIplus 800 TC sets an example o ergonomicsdesign. It is extremely easy to operate, has dedicated

unctionalities eliminating all possible errors, andrequires only a very strict minimum o maintenance. TheSumo direct-drive technology in the weaving machine, the drawing-in unit and batching motion make or verylow power consumption.

Equipped with air tuckers, the OMNI plus 800 TC reachesspeeds o up to 900 rpm. With the new ATI-CR tuckers, continuous reeds can be used, reducing the stock opro led reeds to a minimum.

Gauze, flockingbacking, Osnaburgor tape backingPicanol recommends its OMNI plus 800 airjet weavingmachines or these abric types. Positive camboxes makeit possible to weave at very high speeds. Thanks to thewe t detector in ront o the reed, there is no need to cutthe pro led reed to length, and di erent abric widths canbe produced with the same reed. The e ciency o themachine is increased with the automatic pick remover(PRA). Machine adaptations or elastic yarns are available,as well as or plaster rein orcement abrics. When closedselvedges are required, high-speed pneumatic tuckers orATI can be installed. Tuckers are mostly used or fockingbackings or Osnaburg abrics.

OptiMax rapier weaving machines are also used to weavethese open abrics. They o er more fexibility and makeit easier to produce a wider range o abrics.

Industrial glassfiber OptiMax rapier weaving machines are available in widths

rom 190 cm up to 340 cm or all types o glass, rom5 to 1.200 Tex, Silica, Basalt and ceramic yarns. Manycon gurations are available: split beams and top beamcon gurations, multipanel-weaving, weaving rom creelsby means o a drawing-in unit behind the machine

The OptiMax weaving machines have a very small shed-opening, wear-resistant grippers and scissors, and canrun with a very low warp tension. Further eatures andoptions or glass weaving include: Motor-assisted 3-end glass split motion Optispeed or di cult yarns in a pattern Con gurations or open weaving without distortion o

    High-speed lenoweaving, Optileno

High-speed leno weaving is available onOptiMax rapier weaving machine. The rangeo yarns that can be processed in warp andwe t direction is very wide: mono l up to0.3 mm, PP tapes, multi laments, glass

    ber, spun yarns

The standard and leno ends do not cross in the backshed and thanks to the straight path o the yarns throughthe eyelets, warp tensions can be kept extremely low.All elements in contact with the yarns are polished andhardened. The leno system combines a Stubli positivecambox or the vertical component o the shed ormationwith an electric motor or the selection. We t insertionis carried out by Free Flight or guided rapier systems. For the production o crimp- ree abrics, a double-beam

    solution is available.

The system has been designed to make drawing-in andstyle changes very user- riendly. The high-speed Optilenosystem can be exchanged with common harness ramesin only a ew hours, thanks to the modular design. Theharness suspension elements just stay in the machine.
