First of all, I would like to welcome you all to this prestigious institution and hope that you have a great time here. IIT Delhi provides a wholesome experience to its graduates and that is what has differentiated us from other IITs and our World Rankings are testimonial to this fact. The first and foremost thing that you should understand is that your primary focus in this institution should be academics. IIT Delhi is like the menu of a restaurant; there are a whole lot of options available but you can’t order everything simultaneously. The most important skill that you should learn here is time management. Managing time between extra-curricular activities and academics and choosing what is right for you is the key to success in life. You are now entering a period of your life where you will get unrestricted freedom and furthermore, you’ll be the master of your own time. These four years will be a journey of self-discovery and each day will usher in new experiences. Utilize these four years to the fullest and watch them change your life.Education is not just about grades but also about being ethical and truthful to yourself. I hope that you would abide by a professional code of ethics not just through these four years but throughout your entire life. I really hope that there would come a time when academic dishonesty would become a thing of the past and we produce not just academically sound but also morally sound graduates.I wish you all a great time at IIT and sincerely hope that you fulfill all your dreams and become assets to this nation.

Welcome 2015 Freshers! Cracking the country’s most renowned exam, you have reached the beginning of your destination. In this atmosphere of unprecedented thrill and

excitement, I would like to advise you about life in IIT, how to make the most of it and tell you about the efforts we put in to make your stay comfortable.Through all my years of experience, I have come to recognize that generally, students overdo extra-curricular activities, lose focus from studies and miss classes leading to poor grades and decreasing confidence. I would like to see a batch dominating this trend and maintain a balance between academics and extracurricular activities. ”Do not worry about future, work on present”, in case of IITians is equivalent to “Do not worry about initial package, and focus on studies”. Companies recruit you on the basis of experience and talent, so while initial package might be below your expectations if you nurture your analytical skills in college, money will never be a problem. Communication skills (writing and speaking) and time management are two key features to success which IIT system supports and it is critical to hone these abilities .We have worked alot to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Outlets of Amul, Lipton, CCD and Southy along with night messes are present to keep your stomachs satisfied. Thus we expect you to work hard and be regular. IITD provides ample opportunities to develop new skills and explore fascinating outlets, so be sure to use your independence with responsibility. Make the most of IIT life with fun and enjoyment.

To improve the outreach of the SCS, the Student Mentorship Programme has been launched by the Board of Student Welfare. Under this programme, each fresher is allotted a mentor student, who you can approach for any personal, social, academic or extra-curricular queries. IIT life is very different from school life as it provides an opportunity for students to explore various extra curricular and co-curricular activities. Mentors are there to ensure that you make informed decisions in your new home. Your mentors are experienced and informative about life in the campus having navigated through three years successfully. They are your friends, philosophers and guides. Be sure to have frequent meetings with them and don’t be shy to approach them for any query or concern. Be it grades, food or even bathing, approach them without any hesitation.

Coming from different backgrounds, society, linguistic skills, it is not always easy to settle down easily into the stupendous and bewildering atmosphere of IIT Delhi. SCS aims to help students achieve their full potential by resolving their personal, academic, social and psychological issues. It is headed by Mrs. Rupa Murgai, a post graduate in psychology, with over 15 years of experience. It offers counselling in a confidential space guaranteeing to keep your conversations private. SCS not only provides guidance in stress and time mangement, but also helps in decision making and standing by your side during difficult times.Do not be afraid to hide your issues- be it for social stigma, ego or fear. Going for counselling is not a sign of weakness. Au contraire, showing the willingness to deal with the problem is the first step towards solving it. Best efforts and total attention will be given to your worries no matter how small or inconsequential they may seen. All you need to do is knock on the door.

NSO NSS NCCMost of us, when we enter IITD, are quite out of shape and joining any of the wide range of indoor or outdoor sports that IIT has to offer to you is the best way to get back in action. Taking up NSO is not only a good way to sweat it out but it also helps you develop as a person. By inculcating a spirit of dedication, passion, healthy competition, leadership qualities and determination you are well equipped for any journey in life. NSO hours are provided for a huge range of sports from Tuesday to Friday during the evenings. If you are true to your game, IIT rewards you, and how! You get a chance to represent IITD in the prestigious inter- IIT that takes place in December annually. Donning the cool IIT DELHI jerseys which you earn only if go for inter-IIT and wearing it in the institute area has its own respect and the perks of being a part of any sports team are best experienced first-hand. So a shout-out to all the sports buffs out there – NSO is the thing for you!

“Be the change you wish to see in the world”. This quote by M.K. Gandhi is the driving force for NSS IIT-Delhi. The vision of NSS IIT Delhi is to empower IITD community to bring a positive change in the society, and create leaders to promote nation-building activities. NSS provides a huge platform for this purpose in form of various lectures, projects of wide variety and collaborating with various NGOs like NAB, Vidya, Aarohan, etc. and also through various collection drives and Blood Donation Camps. The projects of Social Innovation Cell and the internship opportunities provided by NSS during the winter and summer vacations provide a great deal of learning and experience. It also spreads awareness about social issues among the student community through lectures by eminent personalities and through movie screening on various issues. All those who find joy and satisfaction in social work and feel the responsibility that one has towards their nation, your calling has arrived!

NCC is one for those who aspire to build qualities like confidence, character, leadership, discipline and companionship. Its main aim is to develop the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst youth. With the essence of patriotic commitment and nationalistic spirit, NCC organises various camps like Annual Training Camp, the camp for the Republic Day flag hoisting ceremony, for adventure training and National Integration Camps. These camps, helps one gain experience in various adventure sports such as river rafting, mountaineering, trekking and watersports. Since punctuality and discipline is engrained in every molecule of the being, it is best suited to those who stay the weekend and are ready to march!

One of the many great things about our college is that our policy makers want students to learn much more than just academics here. They want people to come out of their little cocoons, explore, grow and mature as a person before finally flying off to the real world after a few years.

In keeping with this mindset, IITD has made it compulsory for every student to opt for NSS, NSO or NCC and complete 100 hours in the chosen field, till the end of your 2nd year. And one of the biggest dilemmas you’ll face almost immediately is- which one should I choose? Each of the three will ultimately lead to your holistic development and will help you to acquire certain traits which will be very beneficial for you in any walk of life. However, you must choose the one which is best suited for you. Pick the right one and you’ll breeze through the 100 hours, while making the wrong choice may lead to an over-burden and will defeat the whole purpose of the activity.

NSO, NSS or NCC?

Believe me fucchas, the one thing that you’ll find quite amusing and maybe a bit hard to adjust to is the super weird IITD Lingo (read language). While some of the words like “athy”, “footy”, “insti” are easy to grasp, it’s not so with all. So before you let your imagination run wild when you hear an arbit (again, short for arbitrary) senior say, “Yaar, Usme mera fakka lag gaya.”, let us tell you what all these actually mean:

In IITD, nobody has any tension, nobody has any problem, but everyone has a fight. (NO, not the physical brawl you are imagining). Simply put, everything is either chill (extremely easy) or a fighter (the toughest Thing ever). So, if in the future you ever hear a sentence like, “Wo prof bahut fighter hai” or “Wo dassi ke liye bahut fight macha raha hai”, I hope you now understand what it means.

While you might be aware of the fairly famous practice of proxy attendance. We’re not talking about that, soon you’ll realise that proxy might actually be used to your alloted internet usage of the week/month/year.And take out any images you might have for the refernce “Don’t squish me” you might just hear it way more often now.

So these were just some of the funny words you will hear around here. You may also get a lot of satti, babloo, secy, machau, cultu, poltu, bakait ...Well the list is just endless. It’s upto you to find out what these mean. Believe me, it won’t be long before some(if not all) of these become a part of your speech.

The rare species who spend all their time

studying and mugging stuff up. Always in high demand during exams.

Free advice. EVERY SINGLE senior is a self-proclaimed expert at giving these. It’s upto you to decide which one you pay heed to.

Short for enthusiasm. Arguably the most popular slang used by seniorswhile talking to juniors. Throughout your 4(or 5) years here, you are gonna get a lot of “Thoda aur enthu dikhao”.

Someone who is great at everything.May also be used when someone isbragging unnecessarily, “Zyaadastudappa mat jhaad”.

This one doesn’t cause you harm, not to the lungs at least. It refers to the humanities courses that one has to take up from the 2nd year onwards.

Enactus

BloodConnect

A social entrepreneurial venture that started in IIT Bombay is today helping many underprivileged

students to prepare for the exam you cracked some time ago— IITJEE. The organization uses the pedagogy of Harvard University Professor Eric Mazur. By the method of peer learning techniques it inculcates conceptual learning in eleventh and twelfth standard students and charges less than half the fees that most of us paid. You can check out its website avanti.in. Be a part of its student chapter at IIT Delhi as a mentor, a centre coordinator or in outreach purposes.

It is a worldwide organization that works to enable poor people become entrepreneurs. Its IITD chapter

Enactus-IITD is currently working on two projects Aanch and Excelsior. Aanch is a project in which rural people are taught to design a smokeless chulha and sell it to empower themselves financially. Excelsior is an quite an organisation in itself as well and is essentially a project that enables kabariwalas to help create the unique product designed by them: ‘Amaze’, a bag cum desk made out of waste paper. If you think you have a great social startup idea or even if you want to work for an already established social startup then this is your platform. Check out their website enactusiitd.org.

It is a socio-tech start up by group of students and alumni of IITs and XLRI, Jamshedpur to address the issue of quality education through

innovative teaching methodologies. They have a very interesting model of enabling experiential learning in classes through the use of more than 250 physical models which they have designed and manufactured. There are various opportunities for students in profiles like R&D (to design physical models), content development, web development, graphics design etc. See all of it on their website srjna.com and work with them to see far-reaching transformation happening the way you wanted it to be.

Since its inception in 2010 under the NSS programme, BloodConnect has grown from a modest 5-membered social initiative to a country-wide

organization which now covers around 4 states and is spreading fast. BloodConnect does exactly what its name suggests: it acts as a bridge between those willing to donate blood and those who need it. It spreads awareness among people about the pressing need for blood donation and organises blood camps in various colleges and corporate establishments in affiliation with numerous government blood banks. Apart from that, it has set up a 24x7, 365 days helpline for anyone who is in urgent need of blood. Its aim: to solve the problem of blood shortage in our country. Its envisions finding a complete solution to this blood crisis in the country. You can always visit their website www.bloodconnect.org if you want to contact them or help them in this noble endeavour.

And that’s still not all! Along with all this you have the many intra-IITD opportunities like Rutag, AINA and Sustainable IIT. Just keep yourself open to opportunities for plenty exist to aid you serve the society to your heart’s content.

Perhaps by the end of your first year here at IIT, you will be able to better appreciate the ability to bring about change that you have. And when you’ll realize that this ability and power has been entrusted to you by the society, you’ll know how much you really owe the society and hopefully you’d want to do some socially good work as well. In fact, IIT Delhi has just the perfect machinery to help you serve the society with all the sincerity you want. The institute is amply equipped with many clubs and ventures to work with for a big time social cause, including but not limited to the few discussed hereunder:

The Deferred Placement Policy

The Internship Policy

IIT Delhi embraces the ideal that creating a job for its talented pool of human resource is way better than finding one for them. And that is precisely why the Student Affairs Council with the help of the institute administration, has come up with a Deferred Placement Policy. The beneficiaries of the same are all those students or group of students with an innovative idea of a start-up venture and the zeal to realize it. The aforementioned students will have the liberty and the support of the IIT Delhi administration, to put their heart and soul into brand new projects that they’ve come up with and the policy ascertains that after a period of two years, in the unfortunate case of the startup not working out, these students will be allowed to sit for the placements again. This measure has been taken by the institute to promote the critical and innovative thinking by taking the job pressure off. It is noteworthy that while this new policy has created an array of attractive opportunities, it has very strict procedural rules, to prevent any fraudulent schemes. The students file an application in the second semester of their penultimate year, and then the application goes through a strict processing by a select panel of qualified people, who decide on the ones to pass. Also, this very panel contemplates on and scrutinizes these projects carefully over the period of two years: carefully assessing the amount of work put into them. Clearly, the policy is indicative of times having evolved for the better and exciting new avenues being unlocked for the students!

On another note, let’s talk about the internship policy. There has been a big change in the internship policy in the past two years. Formerly, there used to be a compulsory internship for each student in the penultimate year, set up via the Training and Placement Cell (TNP Cell), in the form of industrial training. Any and all other internships were optional for the students, catering to their interests and skill-development if they so desired. Now, on the other hand, all compulsions have been withheld. The TNP still conducts its internships, but it is optional to apply for them. However, there is a new criterion for evaluation which also enhances students’ practical expertise: design unit. Each student now has to complete five design units. These can be completed through various workshops, seminars, internships, etc, recognized by a board, which awards design units according to the depth and complexity of the activity/event. The board has a separate committee for each branch of engineering. The new system thus offers the freedom to choose the way one wants to gain practical experience, and also normalizes the opportunities for both core and non-core avenues for all departments, which is a huge plus point. And indeed, the amount of effort and detailed analysis put in by the administration in this regard is really praiseworthy!

The International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition is a worldwide synthetic biology competition. The IIT Delhi team innovates a solution to any existing problem over a year for the iGEM competition. The IIT Delhi team won Bronze Medal at the iGEM Giant Jamboree 2014!

Contrary to what is suggested by the name, members are not required to have any prior knowledge of biology or genetics. Being a part of this club one gets ample opportunities to learn and cater your interests in this subject. Interesting part of this competition is that you not only have to make your project but also showcase it and this expands the domain of this club to all students regardless of that whether they study Biology or not.

In IIT Delhi all student activities fall under two administrative bodies namely the SAC and the CAIC. While CAIC deals with the academic aspect

of a student’s life, SAC deals with...well, everything else. It is the apex student body which controls the policy-making decisions and makes sure that they are implemented as well. It comprises of 5 boards:• Board for Student Welfare(BSW)• Board for Recreational and Cultural Activities(BRCA)• Board for Sports Activities(BSA)• Board for Hostel Management(BHM)• Board for Student Publications(BSP)So, if you have any complaints whether it may be the mosquito problem in your hostel or the lack of proper ventilation in your classes, you know where your grievances will be heard and taken care of. SAC acts as a source through which the students’ complaints can be directed to the respective authorities for addressal through the SAC framework. If it is within the scope of the law, a solution will definitely be provided.To ensure its approachability, two SAC representatives are elected from each hostel. Their primary job is to act as a connecting link between the students and SAC;

they voice out the students’ concerns and problems in the SAC meetings. They can always be approached for any kind of problem and it is compulsory for the representatives to meet you at least once a semester for feedback anyways. So, don’t hesitate to call them up in the middle of the night because they are always at your service! Also, to ensure that it possesses the kind of power to authorise its decisions, the SAC comprises of all the concerned authorities including the Director, current and previous immediate Dean of Students, Deputy Directors, Dean U.G.S. and Dean P.G.S. and the Presidents and the current and previous immediate General Secretaries of all its five boards. 2 SAC meetings are held every semester wherein major discussions are held on an agenda based on popular survey and the decision-making powers are exercised to change the old faulty policies or introduce changes in the existing framework. So, the next time you crib about the water menace in your hostel, remember that the power to change it is

your hand. Be sure to raise your concern at the right time to the right person!

Adjusting to the dingy hostel rooms is every IITian’s nightmare. The first day in your dream college and you find it difficult to adjust to your rooms.

Adjusting to hostel rooms is every IITian’s nightmare and thinking of living in them for the next 4 years brings shudders to anyone for the first time. Added to that having to share the small room with 2 other people is definitely not pleasing to the freshers. But don’t worry, we have the BHM(Board for Hostel Management) to take care of all your hostel needs and help you adjust as quickly as possible to your hostel.Every hostel has BHM representatives in the form of House Secretary, Mess Secretary, Maintenance Secretary who can always be approached regarding any issue that you face in the hostels. The Board listens to the grievances of every hostel and brings out a solution in the best interest of all, the most recent being proposal to install wifi in common rooms of every hostel.

The BHM is also responsible for organising the BHM Night, one of the most awaited nights towards the end ofacademic year. All hostels set up their stalls and the freshers work day and night to win the coveted ‘Best Stall’ title. Also all the Inter-hostel competition trophies are dispensed on this day. The BHM is also instrumental in organising the House Day of various hostels, an unofficial seniors’ farewell. Thus it is the BHM, the board that

always works in the background, which makes it possible for you to chill out in the hostel.

large number of events conducted both inside and outside the

campus would give you a great opportunity to hone your skills.

Quizzing enthusiasts, get ready for a

battle of wits unlike anything you have ever

experienced!

In the modernized world of today, our

culture, traditions and more importantly the usage of our mother

tongue have taken a back seat . Gone are the days when we called ourselves

‘BHARTIYA’ as now we take pride in calling ourselves ‘INDIANS’. The HINDI SAMITI focuses to fill this void by not only promoting the usage of Hindi in the campus but also trying to reinstill the

cultural and traditional values . The club is

active throughout the year and organizes interesting events

like Khazane ki Khoj (treasure hunt), Shabdh

Vyuh, Varg Paheli and Kavita Lekhan,

to inspire and educate people about the

importance of Hindi in an entertaining way. After a very successful

last year the Samiti plans to widen its

horizons this year by reaching out to more and more people & trying to promote

hindi by even better and fun filled events

and games.

“Music is a moral law that gives soul to the universe,

wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and charm

and gaiety to life and to everything.” –Plato

Music is certainly

associated with the soul and its incarnation

of music be it in Jazz, Country or ‘A

Cappella’ at Jukebox; Blues, Pop, Classical at Dhwani or Hard Rock, Electronic, Punk at RDV; it

club only which makes the campus so lively and happening. After entertaining for the

whole year, the music fraternity assembles at CONSONANCE to mark the camaraderie it breeds and present the soulful rendition of the heritage that

the graduating seniors bestow upon their

juniors. Well, “Where words fail, music speaks!”

Rendezvous. Well, as the French say, it is literally the place to be. The reputation speaks for itself, as far as RDV is concerned. It’s the biggest cultural college festival in North India, organised by your very own Board for Recreational Activities. It’s a platform for both well established artists resting at the zenith, and the budding ones working hard to achieve the same. If you think you would love a four day celebration with its resting poles as - Dance, Dramatics, Debating, Literary, Quizzing, Music and Photography – mass producing an agglomeration of events, all intended to pique the interest of the young minds, you do NOT want to miss this.

As mentioned before, Rendezvous is THE belvedere for augmenting artists, as the audience, the infra, and the publicity are all present in abundance. All that’s left is talent, which is what YOU bring to the party. To prove this, let me recapture the last RDV : Debate like a Titan, Dance solo or in a group, or go to the next step of directing, i.e, Choreography, get Theatre on a Stage, or the Street, sing in a Cantata, or a one man show, a hundred and one different forms of quizzing, and so on. The yang for these artists consists of the performances by the world re-known and acclaimed: popular Irish band Frantic Jack, the DJ Nucleya, and solo Indian artists Falak Shabir, KK, with finale by Arijit Singh himself.

As far as the RDV of the current semester is concerned, the inside news is that the new team is planning a couple of changes. The pros and cons of this are as follows: As the earlier few RDVs had done, there will be an increase in the number and calibre of the competitive events, while keeping the structure of the more recent fests; The essence of RDV will be revised, which is being the uber projection of cultural competence, and hence capturing the artist in each one of you; and lastly, since the last few RDVs were only insanely awesome…..it’ll be a tad bit better than that. Hang on, did I say pros and cons? I meant like pros and pros.

No one sleeps during a Rendezvous. One just wakes up. Fresher or Senior alike. There’s something for everyone in Rendezvous. That’s what’s coming to get you this year. It will come with a gusto. It will hit you hard. And you’ll probably never be the same again. The hard work put in by the new team for over 6 months will gratify all your inner desires.

Either envy us or join us, coz this Rendezvous will be unstoppable.

LITERATI

SPERANZA

Literati is the annual Literature Festival of IITD organised by your very own Board of Student Publications. Arguably one of the biggest Literature Festivals in North India, Literati is a huge conglomeration of poets, authors, academicians and literature-enthusiasts in an atmosphere of pure literary creativity and ingenuity! Events ranging from book launches, panel talks and discussions as well as contests, workshops and quizzes of all sorts aim to keep you entertained and at the same time, bring out the sheer imagination and genius inside you. Eminent personalities such as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Dr. Prabhu Chawla have graced this festival in the earlier years and in its last edition, Literati witnessed the likes of Ashwin Sanghi (The Rozabel Line, Chanakya’s Chant and The Krishna Key), Sanjaya Baru (The Accidental Prime Minister) and Vikas Swaroop (The Slumdog Millionaire book “Q & A”). And believe me when I say that it is gonna be bigger, better and more entertaining this year. So, grab your seat-belts as this Literary extravaganza gears up to take you for an exhilarating ride into the world of prose and poetry!

Speranza, the annual youth fest of IITD, provides the perfect platform for our freshmen to finally open up and exhibit their talent and creativity at the institute level. This fest gives them a bird’s eye view of the multi-dimensional life that they are going to experience here and finally explore the vast range of activities that the institute has to offer. Ranging from the extremely popular Panel Discussions and Rendezvous with Alumni to various quizzes, seminars, stage plays, movie screenings, LAN gaming events and even Jeopardy(IITD’s own version of Roadies), each event is an experience in itself. Numerous workshops on Self Defence, Disaster Management and even Sex Education serve as a great medium for making them socially aware. Having been graced by eminent personalities such as Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwat Mann in the past, this fest is a great opportunity for our future leaders to gain the exposure that they had craved for and become IITians in the true sense of the term.

An integral part of the IITD student diaspora, this exotic assortment of notes-hoarding, lecture-savvy people will mellow your soul with the sheer passion for poring over course content. Norm dictates these fellas to lick clean the gleanings of lectures and tuts and notes by the previous night of the exams but unseasonal muggoos aren’t all that rare. Stalwart muggoos go on to gain salvation as they make asking questions in lectures, solving tuts regularly and endless revisions a karmic duty.

Tip: Keep them close!

No surprises there! Junta can go despo for an array of IITD ‘knick knacks’ : In the wake of CG being in for a nosedive one can go full on despo for grades bordering naturally on full throttle muggoo, another despo spurt catches on for projects/scholarships amid countless other despo spasms that pervade IIT-space (including the after exams gaming and TV series marathons).

Tip: Think for a second before you make the leap!

No, not those Art-of-Living enthusiasts! These guys have had the ultimate enlightenment one can have here. What we mere mortals slog through: acads and extra-currics etc. is all trifling Moh-Maya and as the Bodhi-meant-to-be-tree by Lipton tells them, get your-self a life pal and remember to – chill! Beware these ultra laid back guys as they have a black hole gravitational field!

Tip: Take it with a pinch of salt!

Yes, they have committed the honor code to memory and start stammering euphemisms for disco (‘the big ‘un!’) when their conversations go awry. No sooner than they hear ‘attendance proxy’, than you see them turn a sickly shade of yellow and they make it a point to atone for their sin of having discussed an assignment problem with you.

Tip: Show them some love!

The Goodie-Goodie

The only-our-subject-exists profs man! The dud dull of a lecture-routine, the tedious practical sessions, the shoddy assignments, pointless hours scheme, satanic attendance policy, what is all this bro? Hai ye garmi ! Lousy hostels, god-forsaken mess! Itna chhota campus! Are you even listening?...You got the idea.

Tip: Eh... Really? Look within!

The Cribboo

Towering grades and even taller egos! Wins all sorts of cultural club events ranging from everything to pretty much goddamn everything! Pro-active NSS enthusiast, frequent winner in all sorts of external events in all sorts of festivals in DU colleges and other highfalutin fests you never heard about… fantastic sportsman/sportswoman in all the right sports and a great chill out fella…(swoon!). Keep sighing.

Tip: Don’t burn up, have a sip of inspiration!

The Over-Achiever

Ever the shrine of modesty and almost frustratingly polite: you have hit the Silent Cal roomie jackpot! These guys are complete antitheses to the nagging blokes who prattle on to their vocal chords’ content. Out of some pathological need to be tongue-tied even among friends, these guys need to be promptly reminded that no one will bite them so as to prise words out of their mouths. Being nuclear-level introverts and rather shy you might find them bland.

Tip: Get them to speak, it’s priceless!(trust me).

The Shrinking Violet

Someone who likes to announce everything in their life on Facebook to get people to notice them and to literally throw themselves on people in the real-world. Lookout clues include posts that have simply no earthly point but grab eyeballs, attempts to coax chat out of you and none the less real-world giveaways are hapless attempts to pull off disturbing jokes and pretend to know whatever the hell is being talked about.

Tip: When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

The Attention Hog

They know whether it a nehli or dussy better than the prof, they know precisely in what way Rendezvous this year would be better than the last, pretty much eight months in advance. They even know the mineral composition of MS building drinking water and the best and optimal way to go about whatever the hell you want to go about! God forbid!

Tip: Excellent information sources to salvage grades. *wink wink*

The Wiseacre

How on earth did you imagine cluttering the shelf for toiletry with detergent and scrub? For neat freaks, kindred such retorts are commonplace. They stack books alphabetically, they stow away academic, bank-related and other documents in different colored folders, their sheets and wardrobe fall no short of immaculate with religious placing of all the stuff in their designated corners and no piece of clothing or paper lying around. Ever. Whew!

Tip: Bag ‘em!

The Neat Freak

Include movies, animes and comics. Here’s the ultimate go to person for all the counsel you need whether House of Cards would be better than Flash, or for the latest GoT episodes and the coolest animes and the most prized DC comics you’ve been hunting for and the latest movies to watch together with.

Tip: Let them Majors end!

The TV Show Pro

We know this fella’ well! From a hardcore fanatic CS killer to the deft FIFA ’15 aficionado and everything in between, this person is always game: the intense Mortal Kombat in the insipid LTs to the total kill-mode Assassin’s Creed in the hostel rooms.

Tip: Bring it on, son!

The Good Ol’ Gamer

The overtime stinksters who nobody saw going to bathe in a month and who rarely deign to get their laundry done that too out of some pinching public obligation, they find nothing out of the ordinary in the stares they get as they scratch their lousy hair while exuding bad-breath…Ew!

Tip: *Muffled breathing*

The Hygiene Disaster

These are distinguished species that have stood out of the entirety of junta that hanker for parties for trifling stuff. These fellas have proved that their craving for parties is unconditional and really not a day has elapsed when they haven’t demanded a due party for some long fossilized but promptly exhumed occasion from some pal or the other. Way to go!\

Tip: Be there or be square!

The Partymonger

The amount of sleep these people manage to get on a daily basis might put the sloths with legend gusto to shame. Sleeping at odd hours of the day is really an underachievement for them for the existential crisis of having not slept at all hours remains

Tip: Whenever in doubt, drop down dead!
