From the Panel - Cream (A):• Fussy cut (1) 42 ½” x 35 ½” panel.

From the Pumpkin Farm Yarn Dyes - Charcoal/Black (B), cut:• (2) 4” x 35 ½” WOF strips.• (3) 4” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 4” x 49 ½” strips.

From the Oak Leaves - Cheddar (C), cut:• (1) 8 ⅞” square. Cut the square across (1) diagonal to make (2) triangles. Note: Only (1) triangle will be used.• See instructions to cut (1) Leaf. From the Acorns - Russet (D), cut:• (4) 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 4 ½” x 76 ½” strips.• (4) 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 4 ½” x 61 ½” strips.• See instructions to cut (1) Leaf.

From the Novelty Toss - Tan (E), cut:• (4) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2 ½” x 68 ½” strips.• (3) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2 ½” x 57 ½” strips.

From the Mini Floral - Dark Red (F), cut:• (1) 8 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (2) 8 ½” squares.• (8) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

From the Bud Vine - Brown (G), cut:• (1) 8 ⅞” square. Cut the square across (1) diagonal to make (2) triangles.

From the Oak Leaves - Green (H), cut:• (1) 8 ⅞” square. Cut the square across (1) diagonal to make (2) triangles. Note: Only (1) triangle will be used.

From the Pumpkin Farm Yarn Dyes - Pumpkin/Brown (I), cut:• Cut (1) 8 ⅞” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (1) 8 ⅞” square and (1) 8 ½” square. Cut the 8 ⅞” square across (1) diagonal to make (2) triangles. Note: Only (1) triangle will be used.

From the Mini Floral - Green (S), cut:• (1) 8 ⅞” square. Cut the square across (1) diagonal to make (2) triangles. Note: Only (1) triangle will be used.

From the Mini Floral - Cream (T), cut:• (1) 8 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 8 ½” squares.

From the Dot Weave - Cream (U), cut:• (1) 8 ⅞” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 8 ⅞” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (8) triangles. Note: Only (5) triangle will be used.

From the Acorns - Cream (V), cut:• (1) 8 ⅞” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 8 ⅞” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (8) triangles. Note: Only (7) triangle will be used.

From the Oak Leaves - Cream (W), cut:• (2) 8 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (1) 8 ½” x 25 ½” strip and (1) 8 ½” x 16 ½” strip from each WOF strip.

From the Novelty Toss - Cream (Backing), cut:• (2) 77” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 77” x 84” back.

Block Assembly1. Sew (1) 4” x 35 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the 42 ½” x 35 ½” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 4” x 49 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 48 ½” x 41 ½” to make (1) Unit 1 rectangle (Fig. 1).

2. Sew (1) Fabric U triangle and (1) Fabric G triangle together along the long side to make (1) Unit 2 square (Fig. 2). Trim unit to measure 8 ½” square. Repeat to make a second Unit 2 square.

3. Repeat Step 2 and refer to Figures 3-12 for fabric identification and placement to make (1) of each unit for Unit 3 through Unit 12.

4. Place (1) 8 ½” Fabric I square on the left side of (1) 8 ½” x 16 ½” Fabric W strip, right sides together (Fig. 13). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 13). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 14). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance.

5. Place (1) 8 ½” Fabric F square on the right side of the 8 ½” x 16 ½” Fabric W strip, right sides together (Fig. 15). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 15). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make (1) Unit 13 strip (Fig. 16).

6. Repeat Steps 4-5 and refer to Figure 17 for fabric identification, location and seam direction to make (1) Unit 14 strip.

7. Place (1) 8 ½” Fabric Q square on the top half of (1) 8 ½” x 25 ½” Fabric W strip, right sides together (Fig. 18). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 18). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 19). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance.

8. Place (1) 8 ½” Fabric M square on the bottom half of the 8 ½” x 16 ½” Fabric W strip, right sides together (Fig. 20). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 20). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make (1) Unit 15 strip (Fig. 21).

9. Repeat Steps 7-8 and refer to Figure 22 for fabric identification, location and seam direction to make (1) Unit 16 strip.

Note: Pay attention to the orientation of the units when constructing Unit 17.10. Sew (1) Unit 12 square to the top of (1) Unit 15 strip. Sew (1) Unit 11 square to the bottom of the Unit 15 strip. Sew the resulting strip to the left side of the Unit 1 rectangle.

11. Sew (1) Unit 6 square to the top of (1) Unit 16 strip. Sew (1) Unit 2 square to the bottom of the Unit 16 strip. Sew the resulting strip to the right side of the Unit 1 rectangle.

12. Sew (1) 8 ½” Fabric T square, (1) Unit 2 square, (1) Unit 3 square, (1) Unit 13 strip, (1) Unit 4 square, (1) Unit 5 square and (1) 8 ½” Fabric T square together in that order. Sew the resulting strip to the top of the Unit 1 rectangle.

13. Sew (1) 8 ½” Fabric T square, (1) Unit 10 square, (1) Unit 9 square, (1) Unit 14 strip, (1) Unit 8 square, (1) Unit 7 square and (1) 8 ½” Fabric T square together in that order. Sew the resulting strip to the bottom of the Unit 1 rectangle to make (1) Unit 17 rectangle (Fig. 23)

14. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, trace the listed number of each template onto the paper side of the fusible web. Roughly cut out each template about 1/8” outside the drawn lines.

15. Press each template onto the wrong side of the fabrics as listed on the templates. Cut out each template on the drawn lines.

Quilt Top Assembly(Follow the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top.)18. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 57 ½” Fabric E strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 68 ½” Fabric E strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

19. Sew (1) 4 ½” x 61 ½” Fabric D strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 4 ½” x 76 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

20. Layer and quilt as desired.

21. Sew the (8) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric F strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

16. Refer to the Figure 24 to arrange and press the Fabric C leaf and Fabric D leaf onto the Unit 17 rectangle.

17. Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to make the Center Block.
