Principal’s Report
Yesterday we had our annual Walkathon around Waterfield Park
for grade 2 to 6 and around the school oval for the Preps and
grade 1 children. Thank you to the Grade 4 team for the
organisation of the Walkathon and organising good weather
conditions for the day. I would like to thank all the parents and
other family members who came along and supported the
Walkathon. Funds raised from the Walkathon this year will go
towards the upgrading playground equipment.
We also celebrated Education Week for 2016 with the theme of,
“Healthy mind, healthy body'. I thank all the parents who
attended our open classroom sessions on Tuesday and today. The
children get great enjoyment from their parents visiting the
classroom.
In the last newsletter I mentioned that Mrs Morrison from Grade
1 MM was beginning Family Leave, and to be replaced by Ms
Meletis. This did not eventuate, however we are pleased to
welcome Ms Ashleigh Caulfield who will replace Mrs Morrison
through to the end of the year.
School Peer Review, Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan
Last term we completed our four yearly school review. We have
now received the school review report for Cairnlea Park Primary.
Using the report, we have developed the Cairnlea Park Primary
School Strategic Plan for 2017 - 2020.
From the 4 year School Strategic Plan, we have developed our
2017 Annual Implementation Plan.
The 2017 AIP is valid through to the end of the year. This
document sets out our goals, targets and strategic intent for:
Student Learning
Student Engagement and Wellbeing
School Alignment with FISO (Framework for Improving
Student Outcomes)
The department and school council have endorsed the CPPS
Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan. You can view
these documents on the schools website or through the
COMPASS portal in the Community tab and then school
documentation folder.
