➢ We celebrate Rosh Chodesh for many reasons:

“The Lord spoke again to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘The Lord’s appointed times which you shall proclaim as holy convocations—My appointed times are these:” (Lev 23:1-2)

“Also at your times of rejoicing—your appointed festivals and New Moon feasts—you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, and they will be a memorial for you before your God. I am the Lord your God.” (Num 10:10)

➢ We celebrate Rosh Chodesh for many reasons:

“Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the set time, on our feast day: For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob” (Ps 81:3-4)

“Let none therefore judge you in meat or in drink, or in matter of feast, or new moon, or sabbaths,” (Col 2:16)

➢ But, at the Heart of Rosh Chodesh -

*Rosh Chodesh isAn expression of

First Fruits

“If the first piece of dough is holy, the lump is also; and if the root is holy, the branches are too.” (Rom 11;16)

➢ The Significance and Power of the First Fruits Principle is so important – that our salvation and ultimate resurrection is founded on it…

(1 Cor 15:20-23)

“But now Christ has been raised from the dead,the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming,”…

AMEN!

➢ Let’s step back for a moment and look at these seasons from a broader perspective and then we’ll zero in on this month (Carmen will talk about the characteristics of the month and Chris will be speaking also from a prophetic perspective)

➢ God's times are built around harvest seasons! Each time we enter a new Hebraic year, the Lord empowers us with a fresh anointing and vision to enter into the Harvest Fields ahead!•This is a year the SWORD of the LORD WILL CONTEND for the WELLS of REVIVAL in the Earth!•A year of War and Worship!•A time of understanding the conflicts and strategies of triumph that will impact the remainder of this decade. •A time of completing purposes and bringing them to fullness. AMEN!

➢ Every appointed time, every feast has an ultimate fulfillment

• Passover/Unleavened Bread/First Fruits

• Shavuot/Pentecost➢ Including Shabbat and Rosh Chodesh

• Shabbat – the 7th Day, the number of completion and perfection – the millennial reign of Christ

• Rosh Chodesh – What about the New Moon? – What is it’s fulfillment?

➢ To understand that, we must first understand the prophetic significance of the moon

➢ We know the enemy has corrupted the real purposes of the moon, its natural, spiritual &prophetic significance

• This is most obvious with Islam and other mysteryreligions & it’s nothing new – let’s see what scripture says:

“…I am pursuing Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian…”

“Then Gideon said to them, “I would like to make a request of you, that each of you would give me the earrings from his plunder.” For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.So they answered, “We will gladly give them.” And they spread out a garment, and each man threw into it the earrings from his plunder. Now the weight of the gold earrings that he requested was one thousand seven hundred shekels of gold, besides the crescent ornaments, pendants, and purple robes which were on the kings of Midian”…. (Judges 8: 5(b),24-26)

➢ Israel brought tremendous torment upon itself when it got involved in pagan idolatry – particularly worship of the heavens

“At that time,” says the Lord, “they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of its princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves. They shall spread them before the sun and the moon and all the host of heaven, which they have loved and which they have served and after which they have walked, which they have sought and which they have worshiped. They shall not be gathered nor buried; they shall be like refuse on the face of the earth. Then death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of those who remain of this evil family, who remain in all the places where I have driven them,” says the Lord of hosts.

➢ What does the Re-newed Covenant have to say about this? –(Mat 17:14-15)

A Boy Is Healed“And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic[a] and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water.

➢ It’s important to understand that which the Lord created to be a blessing has and is being used by the enemy to bring a curse

“If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name,” Says the Lord of hosts, “I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart.” (Mal 2:2)

“They have dealt treacherously with the Lord, For they have begotten pagan children. Now a New Moon shall devour them and their heritage.” (Hos 5:7)

“And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars.” (Gen 1:16)

“The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.” (Psalm 121:5-6)

➢ So, the church (the Ekklesia of God) has (through ignorance) acquiesced the government of the heavens, to the enemy

➢ Just as the prophet Malachi warned – we have not taken these things to heart – we have not honored the Lord at these appointed times

➢ The Lord has commanded us to keep all His appointed times

“And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Make two silver trumpets for yourself; you shall make them of hammered work; you shall use them for calling the congregation and for directing the movement of the camps.”…The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and these shall be to you as an ordinance forever throughout your generations…“When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies. Also in the day of your gladness, in your appointed feasts, and at the beginning of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be a memorial for you before your God: I am the Lord your God.” (Num 10:1-2,8-10)

“Behold, I am building a temple for the name of the Lord my God, to dedicate it to Him, to burn before Him sweet incense, for the continual showbread, for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, on the New Moons, and on the set feasts of the Lord our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.” (2 Chron 2:4)

“Blow the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.” (Psalm 81:3)

“For as the new heavens and the new earth Which I will make shall remain before Me,” says the Lord, “So shall your descendants and your name remain. And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord.” (Isaiah 66:22-23)

➢ Joshua, the Lord and Moses all commanded the Heavens:“Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; hear, you earth, the words of my mouth.” (Deut 32:1)

➢ Or, how about the Lord’s message to Job:“Have you commanded the morning since your days began, And caused the dawn to know its place, That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?” (Job 38:12-13)

➢ That, brothers and sisters, is a rhetorical question by the Lord to Job – if we don’t command the heavens, the enemy will and has done so – result - CHAOS in the earth

➢ Everything the Lord created was meant to be a blessing to us

“And of Joseph he said: “Blessed of the Lord is his land, With the precious things of heaven, with the dew, And the deep lying beneath, With the precious fruits of the sun, With the precious produce of the months, With the best things of the ancient mountains, With the precious things of the everlasting hills, With the precious things of the earth and its fullness,” (Deut 33:13-16(a)“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,” (Eph 1:3)

“Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, “Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.” (Deut 33:13-16(a)

➢ Let’s look at the prophetic significance of the Moon

➢ First of all – the Moon is a ‘Reflection’ of the Sun (Son)

“Who is she who looks forth as the morning, Fair as the moon, Clear as

the sun, Awesome as an

army withbanners?”

(SOS 6:10)

Hebrew meaning of “Rosh Chodesh – New Moon”“Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, “This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.” (Exodus 12:1-2)

Rôʼsh, roshe; beginning, captain, chief, excellent, first, principal, ruler

Chôdesh, kho'-desh; the new moon; by implication, a month

Significance of “Chodesh”Root word is: Châdash, khaw-dash'; a primitive root; to be new; causatively, to rebuild:—renew, repair. ✓ To Renew oneself

✓ To polish a sword

✓ Create a sharp, polished, splendid sword

“For I have bent Judah, My bow, Fitted the bow with Ephraim, And raised up your sons, O Zion, Against your sons, O Greece,And made you like the sword of a mighty man.” (Zech 9:13)

Significance of “Chodesh”

✓ To Renew oneself✓ To polish a sword

✓ Create a sharp, polished, splendid sword

➢ So, Shabbat and Rosh Chodesh also have fulfillment

• Rosh Chodesh – What about the New Moon? – What is it’s fulfillment?

✓“To Produce Something NEW”

“Therefore, behold, I will allure her, Will bring her into the wilderness, And speak comfort to her. I will give her vineyards from there, And the Valley of Achor as a door of hope; She shall sing there, As in the days of her youth, As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.“And it shall be, in that day, ”Says the Lord, “That you will call Me ‘My Husband,’ And no longer call Me ‘My Master', 'For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals, And they shall be remembered by their name no more.” (Hos 2: 14-17)

“I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to MeIn righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy; I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord.“It shall come to pass in that day, That I will answer,” says the Lord; “I will answer the heavens, And they shall answer the earth. The earth shall answer With grain, With new wine, And with oil; They shall answer Jezreel. Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth, And I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; Then I will say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people!’ And they shall say, ‘You are my God!’”(Hos 2: 19-23)

“That He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”(Eph 5: 26-27)

“Let us rejoice and exult and give Him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has

made herself ready;” (Rev 19:7)

➢ We will be an expression of the bride shown in Revelation12; pregnant with all the promises of the Kingdom; thecircle of 12 stars – endued with the fullness of the tribes– the moon under our feet – the release of every spiritualblessing in heavenly places – and the total submission ofIslam and every other type of Babylonian mystery religionto the authority that has been granted to the Bride!

➢ What should we expect as we gather?, i.e., what are some of the immediate promises of Rosh Chodesh?

“Then Jonathan said to David, “Whatever you say, I will do for you.” David said to Jonathan, “Behold, tomorrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit at the table with the king. But let me go, that I may hide myself in the field till the third day at evening.”(1 Sam 20: 4-5)

• You have an opportunity to dine with the King!

“Then she called to her husband, and said, “Please send me one of the young men and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God and come back.” So he said, “Why are you going to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath.” And she said, “It is well.” (2 Kings 4: 22-23)

• You gain prophetic insight into the month ahead

“Thus says the Lord God: “The gateway of the inner court that faces toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the Sabbath it shall be opened, and on the day of the New Moon it shall be opened.(Ezek 46: 1)• A prophetic ‘door’ opens that will

allow you to hear uniquely from the Lord that may not happen at any other time

• As you are watered by the Holy Spirit, you will feast (each month) on the tree of life! AMEN! (Carmen on characteristics)

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”(2 Kings 4: 22-23)

IYAR: An Acronym for “I, the LORD, am your healer.”

IYAR is also identified as the month of “ZIV” (I Kings 6:1)

ZIV: “Splendor: - ‘the month of the splendor of flowers’

❖ This is related to the Passover message:

IYAR is a month of TRANSITION. There are obvious

patterns in scripture that give us prophetic insight into

this season

1. Israelites, (following Passover) – journey from Egypt

to Sinai

2. Joshua, (following Passover) – taking the Promised

Land

3. Jesus, (following Passover) – Giving greater

revelation of Himself and His Kingdom

In the case of the Exodus, the Lord revealed His Covenant nature:

1. Healed the bitter water (Ex. 15:25)

2. “YAHWEH Rapha” – I AM the LORD Who heals you (Ex 15:26)

3. “YHWH-Yireh” – the LORD Who provided quail and manna

(Ex 16:12)

4. “YHWH-Yireh” – the LORD Who provided water from the Rock

(Ex 17:6)

5. “YHWH-Nissi” – the LORD is my Banner (Ex 17:15)

Jesus, following His resurrection on First Fruits, and His

return to Heaven 40 days later:

1. Opening the scriptures on the road to Emmaus, and the

revelation of Himself in the breaking of bread

(Lk 24:27,31)

2. Numerous appearances to the Apostles and ultimately

to 500 (Jn 20:24-29, Lk 24:36, Jn 21:1, 1 Cor 15:6)

3. Admonition to remain in Jerusalem until Pentecost and

taught about the Kingdom (Acts 1:3-4)

* Light is the opposite of

darkness; if darkness tries

to overtake you this month,

say, “No, I am increasing in

revelation”!

* Associated Tribe – ISSACHAR: The anointing to

understand the times and to understand ‘secrets’ (1

Chron. 12:32, Deut. 29:29)

* This month is linked with ‘increasing light’; Light =

Revelation (Ps. 36:9 – “In Your Light we see Light”

Wilderness Tabernacle with Tribal Positions

In the wilderness; Judah, Issachar and Zebulun are grouped together at the Eastern side of the camp. They were with the lead group that would march out first.

Issachar means “he will bring a reward”

Gen. 30:18 – Leah said, “God has given me my wages because I have given my maid to my husband”

Issachar was the 9th son of Jacob, the 5th son of Leah

The positioning of these 3 tribes is the model for the Church. Judah goes 1st with war & worship. Issachar comes next with timing linked with Zebulun for supply.

In regard to this Connecting ‘VAV’ or Pin….

This month of Iyar, is a connecting point between

the new level of freedom that we gained at Passover

(the month of Redemption)

With the new level of supply coming at Pentecost

So, your praise for ‘Coming Out’, is linked with

continual praise, until the offering is given at

Pentecost – this assures Multiplication

So, your prosperity ( spiritual, physical, emotional)

is linked with how you react this month…

• As we mentioned

previously, this is the

month that the Lord

revealed Himself as

“Yahweh Rapha” – the

Lord our Healer

Yahweh Rapha

• The Lord first manifested

Himself by this name when

Israel had murmured and

complained so much –

understand, that when we do

this, we open ourselves up to

an attack of the enemy and

possible sickness…

Psalm 19:1-2 – “The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands, Day to day pours forth speech and night to night reveals knowledge.

Job 38:31-33 – “Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loose the belt of Orion? Can you bring out Mazzaroth in its season? Or can you guide the Great Bear with its cubs? Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you set their dominion over the earth?”

So, what knowledge is the ‘Son’ revealing to us in this month of IYAR?

A bull is a symbol of strength, we go from Strength to Strength, Glory to Glory!

There is an anointing this month to find a place of improvement, so your strength can manifest and increase!

• This journey through the wilderness is a

TYPE of the Christian life of overcoming

– from baptism and leaving sin behind

(Egypt), marching and struggling

through the spiritual wilderness (this

evil world, and our human nature), until

we reach the kingdom of God!

• So, brothers and sisters, let’s take the

time from Passover to Pentecost to

draw closer to God; in this month of Iyar

to “CONNECT” to the rest of the year

and pursue God’s redemptive purposes

for our lives.

• Know the Lord (in this season) as:

DELIVERER, PROVIDER, HEALER

and our VICTORIOUS BANNER

over every enemy! Hallelujah!
