  • I Created Disco Backcover Analysis

The CD remains very simple in terms of information given to the audience. The simplicity is highlighted through the the cd being laid out in the rule of thirds. The rule of thirds shows the artists name, album and songs and these are laid out neatly in a vertical format.

The font is similar to the the font on the front cover. The lettering looks like something from a digital alarm clock and by using this style, this resembles the genre of electronic dance that people are listening to.

The yellow colour scheme is included to maintain the albums consistency. This consistency of design is common for all artists as the album should merge together rather than have different designs for front, middle and end. By merging all designs together, this makes it more engaging for an audience as they have similar designs to look at and feel.

The back cover has an unusual break from the colour yellow. The names of the song are in black and white. It feels that the design of the back cover is irregular compared to other albums as the songs and barcode are at an angle, there is a divide in colour etc. However it could be a deliberate ploy from the designers in an attempt to unbalance the audience and create a different experience for them as this design is not something that people see everyday

Calvin Harris is also available on social media for people to research him further. Social media is imperative for an artists success as the digital word of mouth allows audiences to spread information on upcoming releases
