Hinduism is an ancient religion with no founder or known date of origin. The term"Hinduism" simply derives from the wide variety of religious traditions and philosophies that havedeveloped in India over thousands of years. Hinduism is unique among the world religions in that ithas no founder or date of origin. While most major religions derive from new ideas taught by acharismatic leader, Hinduism is simply the religion of the people of India, which has graduallydeveloped over four thousand years. The origins and authors of its sacred texts on Hinduism arelargely unknown. Most Hindus worship one or more deities, believe in reincarnation, value thepractice of meditation, and observe festive holidays Most Hindus believe in praying the almighty

GOD, Every Hindu festival is based on invoking the chosen God , as Prayer or worshipping God isconsidered to be an integral part of the Hindu religion. The chanting of mantras is the most popularform of worship in Hinduism. Yoga and meditation are also considered as a form of devotional

service towards the Lord. The Picture to the right represents the Aum or OM sign, which is a soundof peace. The world is advancing to modernity, we enjoy many comforts, and less we are strugglingto achieve many things, which many times we may not need. The advances in technology make us to

deviate from the Creator of everything in nature. The history proves those who believe in religionand God survive better to the challenges, calamities as many times we are left alone to our own fate,

which reminds many of us to the prayer and believing in . One need not to be poetic to God,

Thank God we don't have to understand prayer in ord er to pray. Yet, there are some consistent validquestions people have concerning prayer, but these must not hinder us from relying upon it.The

simple way can be reading a religious book which teaches a little moral in life, Even a casual readingof the book of moral story s confirms how totally the disciples depended upon prayer how theydared not make a move without committing to prayer, seeking God for His guidance and deliverancethrough prayer. Recently I was in my village, the poor really believe in praying from heart than richpeople, the rich too pray, but believe in rituals than to the innocent perceptions of the God, it meansthe poor have no reservations to pray God. We don't pray to inform God. You can't tell Godanything He doesn't know. So if we don't pray to impress or inform God, why then do we pray?Prayer Binds Us to God thats why we tell God what He already knows. He knows what we have needof before we ask, but we're definitely, specifically, unqualifiedly told to pray and to ask not to

impress or inform God, but to invite God, so that we might have that fellowship with Him, so that wemight grow, and we would learn to depend upon Him. Prayer is a means. Prayer is not an end initself. It carries the design of God and accomplishes His purposes. Every aspect of Hinduism teaches,

most innocent and illiterate people attained the salvation, with blind faith in God, than byintellectual questioning presence of God and purpose of religion. There are innumerable festivals inHinduism every festival has some meaning to life and concern for others, Every Hindu, Christian andMuslim festival teaches some meaning to life and embedded with the prayer, many are deviatingfrom religion just with little comforts, and forgetting the ultimate creator and owner of everythingwe possess. Prayer is very important as it helps us to gather all our energy and so helps us to fulfil

our purpose. Through prayer, we are also able to live the ideal life. In spite of more than Billion

people in India, the society survives with religious faith of everyone, social harmony, fulfilling theobligation to life. The Dussehra day is celebrated to commemorate the killing of Ravana by Lord
