Diversity: Salad Bowl Theory- much like a salad, there are many different elements or types of people, but when put together they still hold their differences, but they go well together to make the United States.

Diversity: Melting Pot Theory- reflects the idea that people from all over the world came to the United States and melted into American society, giving up the heritage of their native lands.
