Speci� cations: Stables

Walls are built with 75mm x 50mm (3” x 2”) timber framing, spaced at 600mm (2’) centres.

Selected high quality Shiplap boarding, pressure impregnated with Tanalith E™ to ensure a long maintenance-free life. Weatherboard is available as an option. All boarding is � xed with rust resisting nails.

Purlins are 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) spaced at 600mm (2’) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black Onduline roof sheeting. One clear roof sheet is � tted to each Stable, Corner Unit and Tack Room. Optional roof � nishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles.

Stable doors are 2085mm high, 1200mm wide, 50mm thick, (6’10” high, 4’ wide, 2” thick) Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (¾ ”) heavy duty OS Board. Top doors are ledged and braced. Anti-chewstrips are � tted to the top of the lower door. All door � ttings are heavy duty and galvanised, to include 450mm (18”) heavy tee hinges, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, heavy duty kickbolts and a cabin hook to the top door. Tack Room doors are ledged and braced and � tted with a 200mm (8”) pad bolt.

Are available as an optional extra. However a clear roof sheet is � tted as standard.

Loose Boxes are lined to 1200mm (4’) with 11mm OS Board and can be fully lined to eaves if required. Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are not lined as standard but can be lined if required.

Louvred ventilation grilles are � tted to gable ends of Loose Boxes only.

Front overhangs extend to 1200mm (4’) and can be underlined as an optional extra.

Half round, black guttering and downpipe is � tted to the front of all units. Rear guttering is available on request.

To eaves, measures 2235mm (7’4”) and to ridge 2845mm (9’4”), including brickwork.

Can be � tted between Loose Boxes as an option.

All in pressure impregnated, prepared timber, � xed with rust resisting nails.

All exterior timber is pressure treated with Tanalith™ E wood preservative.

The Value Range

Selected high quality Shiplap boarding, pressure impregnated with Tanalith E™ to ensure a long, maintenance-free life. Weatherboard is available as an option. All boarding is � xed with rust resisting nails.

Purlins are 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) spaced at 600mm (2’) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black Onduline roof sheeting. Optional roof � nishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles. Clear roof sheets are available on request.

Stable doors are 2085mm high, 1200mm wide, 70mm thick (6’ 10” high, 4’ wide, 2 ¾” thick). Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (¾”) heavy duty, moisture resistant kickboard. Top doors are ledged and braced. Anti-chewstrips are � tted to the top door surround and to the top of the lower door, extending down to 380mm (15”) at the front. All door � ttings are heavy duty and galvanised, to include 600mm (24”) heavy tee hinges, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, heavy duty kickbolts and a cabin hook to the top door. Tack Room doors are ledged and braced, � tted with 600mm (24”) hinges and a 200mm (8”) pad bolt.

A two bladed louvre window with a � xed lower section measuring 533mm x 915mm (21” x 36”) is � tted to all Loose Boxes. A heavy duty metal grille with 12mm (½”) solid bars spaced at 75mm (3”) centres is � tted to the rear.

Loose Boxes are lined to 1200mm (4’) with 18mm (¾”) high density, moisture resistant board and can be fully lined to eaves if required. Alternative types of kickboard are available on request. Purlins are 125mm x 50mm (5” x 2”) spaced at 600mm (2’) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black Onduline roof sheeting. A clear roof sheet is included in each Loose Box. Optional roof � nishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles. Roof construction can also be altered to accept traditional clay, concrete or slate tiles.

Stable doors are 2235mm high, 1200mm wide, 70mm thick (7’ 4” high, 4’ wide, 2¾” thick) set in a pressure impregnated frame measuring 100mm x 75mm (4” x 3”) with rounded edges. Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (¾”) heavy duty plyboard. Top doors are ledged and braced with additional vertical bracing to the leading edge, and can be fully lined if preferred. Anti-chewstrips are � tted to the complete door frame, top door leading edge and the top of the lower door, extending down to 380mm (15”) at the front. All door � ttings are heavy duty and galvanised, to include 600mm (24”) reversible hinges, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, heavy duty kickbolts and cabin hooks. Tack Room doors are framed, ledged and braced with a plyboard internal lining and set in a frame identical to the stable door. A brass Yale security lock is included.

Six bladed louvre windows are � tted to all Loose Boxes and are fully adjustable from the outside, measuring 533mm x 915mm (21” wide x 36” high). A heavy duty grille with 12mm (½”) solid metal bars spaced at 75mm (3”) centres is � tted to the rear. Windows can be positioned to suit individual requirements. Other windows are available on request.

Loose Boxes are lined to 1200mm (4’) with 18mm (¾”) heavy duty exterior grade plyboard and can be lined to eaves height if required. Alternative types of kickboard are available on request. To eaves, measures 2464mm (8’1”) and to ridge 3378mm (11’1”), including brickwork.

Walls are built with 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) timber framing, at spaced at 600mm (2’) centres.

Selected high quality Shiplap boarding, pressure impregnated with Tanalith E™ to ensure a long, maintenance-free life. Weatherboard is available as an option. All boarding is � xed with rust resisting nails.

Purlins are 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) spaced at 450mm (18”) centres, which are held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black Onduline roof sheeting. A clear roof sheet is also included in each stall. Optional roof � nishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles.

Internal panels are timber framed using 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) and are kickboard lined to 1200mm (4’). Heavy duty metal grilles with solid 12mm (½”) bars are � tted above. Internal panels are 2.2m (86⅝”) high.

A side-hinged lower stable door 1320mm high, 1200mm wide, 70mm thick (52” x 48” x 2¾”) are � tted. Doors are faced with shiplap and kickboard is � tted to the rear. Anti-chewstrips are � tted to the top door surround and to the top of the door extending 380mm (15”) at the front. All door � ttings are heavy duty and galvanised, to include 600mm (24”) tee hinges, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, kickbolts and a cabin hook. A sliding door measuring 2400mm (8’) wide is � tted to the front of the building. Top doors can be � tted to the rear of each stall as an option.

A choice of windows are available as optional extras.

2 x louvred ventilation grilles are � tted to each gable end.

External walls are lined with 18mm (¾”) high density, moisture resistant board to 1200mm (4’) and can be fully lined to eaves if required. Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are not lined as standard.

Half round, black guttering and down pipes are � tted to both sides of the building.

To eaves, measures 2235mm (7’4”) and to ridge 3861mm (12’8”), including brickwork.

All in pressure impregnated, prepared timber, � xed with rust resisting nails.

All timber is pressure treated with Tanalith™ E wood preservative (excluding roof purlins).

A clear roof sheet is included in each stall. Optional roof � nishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles. Roof construction can also be altered to accept traditional clay, concrete or slate tiles.

Victorian style internal panels are metal framed, with 20mm hollow steel bars spaced at 75mm (3”) centres. 42mm hardwood is used to in� ll the lower section to 1200mm (48”). Dividing panels can be in� lled to eaves height 2200mm (86⅝”) if required. Reconstituted plastic in� lls are available as an option.

Lower stables doors are 1450mm x 1120mm (57” x 44”) and are in� lled with 42mm hardwood timber to 1245mm (49”), 20mm hollow steel bars spaced at 75mm (3”) centres are � tted above. A sliding door measuring 2400mm (8’) wide x 2234mm (7’4”) high is � tted to the front of the building. Top doors can be � tted to the rear of each stall as an option.

A 6 bladed louvre window is � tted as standard to each stall and are fully adjustable from the outside, measuring 533mm x 915mm (21” x 36”). A heavy duty metal grille is � tted.

Selected high quality Shiplap, Weatherboard or Loglap pressure impregnated Tanalith E™ to ensure a long maintenance-free life. All boarding is � xed with rust resisting nails treated to ensure a long maintenance-free life.

Reinforced moisture resistant bitumen impregnated lining paper to BS 1521 (120gsm) grade is placed between the studwork and cladding. Various internal wall linings and Rockwool insulation are available on request.

Purlins are 125mm x 50mm (5” x 2”) which are held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses. Roofs are then boarded with 18mm Plyboard and covered with 38kg green mineral felt. A 904mm (3’) canopy is included to the front of the building. Options include Onduline roof sheeting, cedar shingles or felt tiles.

Double French doors complete with frame, door sill and 14mm double glazing are included. Doors are outward opening. We can also o� er a range of hardwood and softwood doors details of which can be found on page 44 of our brochure.
