TASK 6

• You must know the Chemical Safety Rule in order to pass your NBC ITD.

THE CHEMICAL SAFETY RULE• If you:• a. Experience - a bombardment of any kind.• b. Sight - hostile or unknown low flying aircraft.• c. See - Suspicious - Mist - Smoke - Droplets -Splashes.• d. Smell - Anything unusual.• e. Notice - Symptoms in yourself or others such as:

Dimness of vision - Irritation of eyes - sudden headache - Tightness of chest - Running nose - Excessive salivation.

• h. Hear - An alarm.• YOU MUST ASSUME IT IS A CHEMICAL ATTACK AND

CARRY OUT THE CHEMICAL IMMEDIATE ACTION DRILL (IA DRILL)

TASK 8

• You must be able to use the Decontamination Kit Personal part 1 (DKP1) and DKP2 correctly in order to pass your NBC ITD.

THE CHEMICAL IMMEDIATE ACTION DRILL (IA DRILL)

• TASK 7 - You must be able to carry out the Chemical IA Drill in 9 seconds correctly in order to pass your NBC ITD.

• TASK 8 - You must be able to carry out the Chemical ID Drill correctly in order to pass your NBC ID.
