SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASSES
Bible Study Methods Led by Pastor Brad Johnson Bible Study Skills, in the Summer, Pastor Brad?! Well…it seems a bit aggressive, but ‘nothing ventured, nothing gained’! #1 Question: will there be homework? #1 Answer: this is a challenge-by-choice course. Nobody has to do the homework. However, in-class discussion will be weighted in favor of those students who complete the homework prior to class. Students will gain an understanding of the nature of the Scriptures and learn to study the text on their own, drawing Biblical conclusions and making personal applications. Required Texts: NIV Bible (1984, preferred), & “Studying, Interpreting and Applying the Bible” by Walter Henrichsen and Gayle Jackson (available used for $6 and up from Amazon).
Ten Indicators of a Healthy Church Led by Rob Mitchell Our denomination, the Evangelical Free Church of America, has identified 10 areas that are indicators of the health of a local church. Join Rob Mitchell, current Hillcrest Church Chairman, as he considers the health of Hillcrest in regard to these 10 indicators: God’s Word, passionate spirituality, fruitful evangelism, Spirit-filled worship, pursuit of the Great Commission, leadership multiplication, church planting, stewardship of resources, intentional disciple-making, and loving relationships. Esther Led by Ken Baldinger The good, the bad, and the ug beautiful. A historical story that raises questions that are relevant for today.
The lost and found is kept in the black cabinet in the coat
room and is cleaned out quarterly. Please be sure to also
check the coat rack for hanging items.
