    Inflation is a major threat. Rise in globalcommodity prices and fuel may put pressureon cost and prices.

    Inflation may result in appreciation of Yuanwhich will deprive China of its competitiveenvironment.

    A rapid depreciation of US Dollar will have

    similar effect. A conservative backlash in the West may lead

    to raised tariff and hurt exports.
