James & Alfie’s Rugby World Cup 2015 Column

Game: England vs

Fiji

Final Score: 35-11

Comment: England

won this game but we

didn't play too well—

we just got lucky. Fiji’s

defence broke down.

Game: Ireland vs

Canada

Final Score: 50-7

Comment: The Pool

D opening match of

the RWC tournament.

Game: South Africa

vs Japan

Final Score: 32-34

Comment: This match

had a shocking outcome.

We were particularly

impressed by the speed

of the Japanese players.

There is some

contention over the final

try—were his toes over

the line? South Africa

were angry!

Game: Tonga vs

Georgia

Final Score: 10-17

Comment: The game

was poor but the

tackling was big! It was

because the tacking

was so good that the

game was boring and

there were tonnes of

penalties! Not a good

game to watch—even

the crowd got bored.

Game: Australia vs

Fiji

Final Score: 28-13

Comment: David

Pocock scored two

first half tries for the

Wallabies at the

Millennium Stadium

in Cardiff. Australia

made 122 tackles,

but Fiji only

managed 82.

The Year 9 and Senior

“Forgive us our sins as we

forgive those who sin

against us”

For God so loved the world that

he gave us his one and only son,

that whoever believes in him

would not perish but have Eternal

life. John 3 v 16
