Catechetical Sunday is an opportunity for all to rededicate themselves to this mission as a community of faith. Commissioning ceremony will take place during the Sunday Masses at 9:00am (English) and 10:30am (Spanish).

Extraordinary Ministers Training meeting scheduled for ALL Extraordi-nary Ministers of Holy Communion and we ask that everyone attend - - - DATE: Saturday, September 25 TIME: After 8:00am Mass

25th Sunday in Ordinary Time September 19, 2021

FOCUS: Jesus calls us to humble service. A common thread in today’s readings is that the marks of faithfulness are humility, peacemaking, and service to the lowliest among us. In the midst of cynicism, which is so often the reality of our modern world, how can we better witness to the world the peace of Christ?

LITURGY OF THE WORD: In Wisdom, the wicked speak of testing the just one until he sins or until God inter-venes. In the second reading, James says that the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace. In Mark’s Gospel, Jesus teaches about his passion but the disciples do not under-stand; he then demands humble service of his followers.

REFLECTION: If someone comes up to you on the street and asks, “Have you accepted Jesus into your life?” –according to today’s gospel, that means we have accepted Jesus’ way of life, being “the servant of all.”

So we ask ourselves:

• What Christian “servant role” am I currently involved in?

• What helps me persevere in that role, even under trying conditions?

DOMINGO, SEPTIEMBRE 19, 2021 VIGÉSIMO QUINTO DOMINGO, TIEMPO ORDINARIO

"FAMILIA ES LO MEJOR QUE DIOS HA HECHO" Papa Francisco , 26 Septiembre 2015.
