A note from Fr Chris, Thank you, once again, for your prayerful support of our mission trip this year. It was an amazing experi-ence for all. Who better to tell you a little about this year’s mission than one of our youth, serving the most vulnerable. Below is a testimony from one of our young adults:
Two stories that I remember specifically from my week at Mustard Seed Communities, both have to do with the residents. The first story was from my time at Jacob’s Ladder in which there was a resident named Omar. Soon after I arrived, he took me by the hand and began walking with me around the grounds at Jacob’s Ladder. I followed him everywhere we must have walked 15 miles. Omar’s only form of communication was a laugh and the only look on his face was a smile. For some reason his joy hit home especially hard for me. Another story that struck me was during the time we spent serving at Jerusalem when residents like Shanice and Nadia would share their talents singing and praying. Specifically, Nadia’s prayer for us volunteers made me cry harder than I think I ever had. Even in a horribly unfortunate situation, she still found faith in God’s love, and somehow found the love in her heart to pray for others who
were born into much more fortunate situations than her. These two stories obviously cannot completely capture my time at Mustard Seed, but I think they are good little windows into the love one feels during this mission trip. -Liam Kiernan Parishioner of Epiphany Parish

Saint Mary of Mercy Summer greetings from the Red Door! As is typical, the summer brings an increased number of guests
to our door seeking much-needed sustenance. In June, we served a total of 4,260 lunches in the course of the month. During the last week of June, we were handing out a record number of lunches for a single day... over 230 lunches served. Thank you to all for your faithfulness in contributing financially and materially through donation as well as spiritually through prayer. In a special way, as always, thank you to all of the volunteers who serve so joyfully and generously. None of this could be done without an abundance of support, prayer, and trust in the Lord's gracious Divine Providence and Mercy. We praise and thank you Lord God for truly your mercies are new every morning! St. Mary of Mercy, our sweet Mother, pray for us...pray for the beloved people whom we serve at the Red Door who are in so much need. "The LORD’s acts of mercy are not exhausted, His compassion is not spent; They are renewed each morning—great is your Faithfulness!" Lamentations 3:22,23

"The family of Taylin Clemente would like to thank all those who prayed for her these past months. She had a PET scan last Monday and was clear of all cancer! She will go back to being the vibrant young wife and mother she was before this terrible disease tried to take her away from us. Thank you all so much! God is great!" Taylin's mother is my dear friend since we were seven years old. We appreciate all the Epiphany prayers for her. Thanks, Pat Wilson
