1. Laws of Cricket and Playing Conditions

The Laws of Cricket (2000 Code 6th Edition – 2015) in addition to ICC Standard Test Match Playing Conditions (version current at time of match as published by the ICC) shall apply to all Test Matches and Tour Matches except as modified below.

DRS will be used during the series.

2. Law 5 - The Ball

ICC Regulations shall apply as regards to the ball. The Kookaburra “Turf” brand red ball has been approved by CA for day matches. The Kookaburra “Turf” brand pink ball has been approved by CA for day/night matches.

3. Duration of Matches

Test Matches shall be of five days scheduled duration, and of two innings per side.

No rest days or reserve days are scheduled.

4. Hours of Play and Intervals: Start and Cessation Times

ADELAIDE OVAL (Day/Night)

2:00pm – 4:00pm Session 1

4:00pm – 4:20pm Tea

4:20pm – 6:20pm Session 2

6:20pm – 7:00pm Dinner

7:00pm – 9:00pm Session 3

BLUNDSTONE ARENA

5. Boundaries

ICC Standard ODI Match Playing Condition 19.2 shall apply, except that the rope should be a required minimum distance of 4.47 yards (4 meters) inside the perimeter fencing or advertising signs.

6. Day/Night Test Matches

a) The artificial lights will be switched on as required

b) White sightscreens will be used for this match

c) With regard to intervals, all references in the Standard Playing Conditions to Lunch shall be replaced with Dinner

7. Other Tour Matches

Wherever possible, the above conditions shall apply to all matches. Australian players shall be bound by the terms of the CA Code of Behaviour. Touring team players shall be bound by Law 42 and/or the terms of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials. Cricket Australia shall appoint a representative to meet with the umpires and captains prior to the commencement of the match to secure uniform interpretation of these playing conditions and to adjudicate, if necessary, should there be any dispute.
