C H A L L E N G EOur client was challenged with managing global, Tier 1, high-visibility tech industry tradeshows, using multiple offline spreadsheets to track event equipment and costs. This process provided limited views of real-time costs versus budgets, caused delays in aggregate reporting, reduced transparency to cross-org teams, and caused equipment losses and booking errors. These factors contributed to inflated event-management costs.
S O L U T I O NWorking closely with many key client stakeholders to document
current processes and develop a comprehensive Business
Requirements Document (BRD), WMI developed a custom global
event marketing asset management system. Users are now able to
view a catalog of individual event items or prepared event "packages"
- including logoed event graphics, booth furniture and more - and
can simply select "add to cart." This information is recorded and
stored in an interactive portal, where budget managers and event
teams can track and manage equipment distribution in real-time.

C H A L L E N G EThe WMI Operations team manages thousands of requests
for our client's business incentive funds, using data from
several disparate sources and tools. To support our client's
success, the Business Investment Funds specialists required a
tool to centralize client data, append WMI task-owner data,
and execute a complex end-to-end workflow. The original
client-provided procedures involved multiple offline
spreadsheets and significant manual processing time.
S O L U T I O NWMI proactively implemented a custom .NET application based
on SQL Server and the Entity Modeling Framework. Utilizing
customized data tables and stars via our customer Data
Warehouse, we aggregated and streamlined multiple internal and
client data sources, automated task workflow for a geographically
dispersed support staff, and enabled robust business intelligence
and Service-Level Agreement (SLA) reporting. Through this
custom tool, WMI successfully delivered a robust, scalable
solution that shortened processing time and reduced costs while
significantly increasing productivity.

C H A L L E N G EOur client’s program management team was faced with high
volumes of incentive funds traffic, and needed a way to
simplify approving and tracking requests.
S O L U T I O NWMI created an Azure-hosted tool which organizes project
requests and facilitates management of five stages: Draft,
Approve, Forecast, Execute, and Close. Operations staff can easily
identify critical priorities, increase the efficiency of compliance
review and request approval, and generate data for financial
analysis.

C H A L L E N G EOur client was using multiple excel sheets and sending them
across teams to manage event and supplier budgets. This
caused confusion amongst team members on who had the
most accurate information.
S O L U T I O NWMI developed the Events Budgeting Tool allowing cross-
functional team work providing real time data and resources.
Users are now able to integrate with internal event financial tools
to manage an event project life-cycle; from planning to
implementation.

C H A L L E N G EOur client needed an efficient system to manage 200-300
project audits per month, ensuring consistency of program
requirements for financial compliance purposes.
S O L U T I O NWMI built an audit application that allowed the management
team to review multiple projects at once, tag them with Pass/Fail
depositions, and describe discovered project documents. The
tool aggregated all projects and related documents allowing a
user to quickly and efficiently check compliance.

Our client hosted a high-traffic website that required their
Managers complete a number of mandatory certifications.
Because of the site's complexity and existing ineffective 'help'
content, few managers successfully completed the necessary
work.
WMI created animated, interactive tutorials that successfully guide
users through certification content. By breaking down the content
into 'modules' and then applying a tutorial for each module, users
are guided through the required tasks easily and in order. WMI also
implemented a list of multiple choice questions at the end of each
module to test users 'as they go'. These module quiz scores are
displayed in real-time and Users can then confirm they have passed
each section through to full certification.

C H A L L E N G E : Our client lacked insight into company key performance indicators (KPIs)
and service level agreements (SLAs) for multiple departments and
multiple work streams. Reporting accurate data across teams was limited
to static, refreshable excel spreadsheets that did not provide reliable,
real-time data.
S O L U T I O N : WMI created a customized business intelligence report via
Microsoft PowerBI. Our reporting and data visualizations
highlight mission-critical metrics and KPIs derived from multiple
business operations and data sources. We provided customized
dashboards displaying KPIs from budget, spend and investment

level security) to update data exceptions, allowing a bi-directional data
view.
C H A L L E N G E :Our client manages thousands of finance requests for their
business incentive funds program making it difficult to predict
which projects will have higher ROI. Our client’s concern was the
amount of time focusing on accounts that never spend and not
enough time on those that would.
S O L U T I O N :WMI’s predictive analysis solution took a complex focus and generated an
easy to understand view for project spend forecasting. Our model(s) gave
insight to the profile of each project by breaking down the key indicators to
create a high confidence level model holding up to historic patterns and new
trends.

C H A L L E N G EMicrosoft’s Global Talent Acquisition team needed to visualize hiring data for one of the largest headcount investment projects in the company’s history, and provide a central repository of resources for recruiters worldwide.
S O L U T I O NWMI built a customized SharePoint site and project
administration portal, which highlights hiring progress on the
homepage with simple data visualization. Subpages feature
each individual hiring project, where project leaders maintain
document libraries for their recruiting teams to access
resources. In addition, an admin portal allows Global Talent
Acquisition staff to create and manage new project subpages as
required.

C H A L L E N G EOur client needed a solution for optimizing the management of Bill of Materials (BoMs) assets between field resources and corporate teams, as content uploaded by the field was often disorganized and difficult for internal team members to navigate.
S O L U T I O NWMI developed a workflow that automated the
BoM upload process. The solution included a
module that integrated external data sources with
local lists content and surfaced them on an
interactive dashboard, including drill downs to
access additional details. The dashboard also
surfaced WebTrends real-time analytics to show
site usage reports.
Team members also had access to document
editing, sharing, and storage using publishing
workflows, resource libraries, calendar overlays and
managed document sets.
