Computer programmers meet with managers to determine the purpose of each program.

Computer programmers usually work in a comfortable office environment.
Programmers often work with several other programmers as a team.
They usually work 40 hours per week, but may work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines or to fix unexpected technical problems.

Most positions require a 4-year degree in computer science, mathematics, or information systems.
