Company Background
ncorporated in 1985, DPS Micrographics Private Limited was formed to address the needs of Document
Management, using micrographic and digital imaging technologies. A part of the Calcutta headquartered DPS Group of Companies, DPS Micrographics started operations as the sole distributor in India for 3M Co. of USA, for their entire range of micrographic equipment and supplies. Over the years the Company has diversified, adding more products and solutions to its portfolio and now represents com panies like Kodak, Minolta, EyeCom, Houston Fearless, Extek, Bell & Howell, Tandberg, NBS, etc.. In order to be able to provide a single point solution for all the needs of it’s clients, the business model adopted by DPS Micrographics was to not only provide equipment but to setup facilities to provide document conversion services as well. Leveraging the Group’s strong software development capability, allows DPS Micrographics to develop and customize
software solutions to match each customer’s particular requirements. This is perhaps DPS Micrographics’ main advantage over most of its competitors who merely provide software products developed by others. For overseas clients DPS Micrographics offers content conversion services, which ensures a substantial saving in costs. The combination of on-site imaging and offshore computerized indexing together with computer-aided retrieval offers frequently the most cost effective Information Management solution. DPS Micrographics received the Arch of Europe Award in 1994 for "Excellence in Corporate Image and Quality". DPS Micrographics is head-quartered at Calcutta and has branch offices at Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore. The company has an excellent sales and service network catering to a country-wide clientele.

Job Services ???? Microfilming services: 1. Microfilming of business documents on 16 mm microfilm rolls and cartridges. 2. Microfilming of engineering drawings/maps on 35 mm microfilm/aperture cards. 3. Duplication of the above microfilm formats. 4. Indexing the output microfilm as per users’ retrieval requirements. 5. Printing from microfilm on plain paper. For the above services, we have in-house equipment ranging from planetary/rotary microfilm cameras, processors, readers/reader-printers and microfilm duplicators.

1. Scanning and indexing of business documents and engineering drawings/maps into digital image format.
2. Developing & customizing document retrieval application software. For the above services, we have in-house equipment ranging from high-speed document scanners, engineering drawing scanners, plotters and CD Recorders and associated software.
???? Content Conversion services: 1. Conversion of printed matter into ASCII/MS -
Word/HTML/XML formats using OCR/ICR technologies 2. Vectorization of Engineering Drawings/Maps. This is an activity that DPS is focusing on lately and we expect this to drive our business in the coming months. We have been providing content conversion services to Libraries in Europe, agencies in Philipines and anybody else who have large collection of information in printed form and need to convert them into digital formats, usually for making them available over the Net. ???? Engineering Support – Equipment Maintenance Services We have a team of engineers stationed at Calcutta, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and New Delhi. They provide service to both in-house equipment as well as equipment located at customer premises according to their geographically assigned territories.
