This Saturday, June 21st, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hub City Performance in Wen- dell will be holding an open house at 450 North Idaho Street. In March of this year, Rich Hughes and and Warren Jones opened a new repair shop in the old Harbaugh Motors building at the north end of Wendell. With over 40 years of experience be- tween the two, they repair and service almost anything with a motor, including small engines (chainsaws and mowers), RV’s, farm equip- ment, and diesel trucks. The open house is an op- portunity for members of the community to get to know the folks at Hub City Perfor- mance, as well as a chance to put your name in the raffle for a free lube and service. Along with other prizes, Chris Bradley from Soldier Creek Brewing in Fairfield will serving up his famouse pulled pork sandwiches. And if that is not enough, make an appointment dur- ing the open house and you’ll receive 10% off parts and labor. You can also listen to the owners talk about their business on the radio as KEZJ 95.7 broadcasts live from the parking lot to pro- mote the event. Top Performance in Hub City Western Heritage Ranch Rodeo This Friday and Saturday, come enjoy the Western Heritage Ranch Rodeo at the Gooding Fairgrounds. If you’ve never been to a “Ranch Rodeo”, be pre- pared for a different kind of fun. Instead of the regular events we all know, a ranch rodeo is all about team work. Groups of cowboys participate in events that are more like what they do every day... well, almost ev- ery day (wild cow milking is not for the faint hearted). The Rodeo events begin at 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights, but come early on Saturday for other events including the Draft Horse Show at 10 a.m. and the Stick Horse Rodeo at 5 p.m. On Sunday morning, beginning at 8 a.m., come watch the unsung heros of ranching show off their skills in the Working Stock Dog competition. Glandia Fun Day & A Fish Fry Two other events will be taking place this Satur- day in Gooding. Kids and adults are invited to the annual Glanbia Fun Day at West Park (next to the swimming pool) from 4 to 6 p.m. There will lots of free activities and lot of free food. This event is co-sponsored by the Gooding Chamber of Commerce. If that’s not what you’re hungry for, the Gooding United Methodist Church will hold their Annual Fish fry at 805 Main Street beginning at 5:30 p.m. This is a fundraiser for their Evan- gelism Team and its ongoing min- istries. So, rather than charging a fixed price, they will accept freewill offerings. Soldier Mountain’s Second Annual Summerfest!
