3. I made myself aware of the recent methods in oceanographic studies, including Bathymetric
surveys, and collection of sediments core and deployment of the long mooring systems of sediment
traps in Central Arabian Sea, by attending ORV Sagar Kanya cruise during 4-19th
November, 1987.
The cruise was organized under the INDO-GERMAN (FRG) collaboration programme.
