Joined RWMC to Integrate Master Plan of SWM in Rawalpindi and Murree cities, keeping in view the

dependency on indigenous techniques blended with the modern technologies to provide a programmatic

sustainable solution.

Manager Operations July 2015 - present

My responsibilities include monitoring of the international contractor, whom waste collection and

transportation is outsourced. Plan the normal operation, preventive maintenance, crisis, emergency

situations and public events within the contract areas. Some of the tasks are following:

Evaluating the operations of the service provider, such as technical, physical and contractual range,

which in wider scope include the Operations Management (manual sweeping, solid waste collection &

transportation to the dumping site, mechanical sweeping & mechanical washing, open plots clearance,

construction & demolition waste collection and transportation) as per the benchmarked KPIs.

Sewer lines, drains and safe disposal of silt, solid waste from the established sanitation system

throughout the city are monitored. Planning and scheduling advanced machinery, workforce in collaboration

with district management during the Monsoons, to avoid any sanitation breakdown.

Providing technical and administrative support for projects by collecting data, providing project

documentation, training staff and performing other administrative duties.

Managing the House Keeping and Janitorial Services of sanitation Metro Bus Services, under the

umbrella of Punjab Metro Bus Authority in Rawalpindi and Islamabad cities.

Providing Secondary Waste Collection Services to Noor Air Base, Chaklala Rawalpindi.

Working as Focal Person in relationships with Academic Institutions, to bring Academia and

Cooperate Sectors, for Sustainable and Durable Projects.

OZKARTALLAR CAMPAK JOINT VENTURE, LAHORE PAKISTAN

Joined Ozpak J.V. before launching its operational activities for CLEAN LAHORE project of LWMC back in

JANUARY 2012. The project was first of its type in Pakistan in ISWM sector and the organization was one

of the pioneers in cleaning service provider. I had worked as Engineer Operations initially and followed by

working a Manager in full Capacity.

Manager Operations October 2013 – July 2015

My responsibilities included managing daily operations of garbage collection, transportation, mechanical

sweeping & washing, open plots clearance, construction & demolition waste collection, complaints re-

dressal, workshop staff management. Some of the tasks were following:

Monitoring the operations in 71 UCs, such as technical, physical and contractual range, which in

wider scope include the Operations Management (manual sweeping, solid waste collection & transportation

to the dumping site, mechanical sweeping & mechanical washing, open plots clearance, construction &

demolition waste collection and transportation, complaints redressal).

Responsible for the collection and transportation of 2800 tons per day municipal waste.

Administer of VTCS (Vehicle Trip Counting System) and VTMS (Vehicle Tracking Management

System), to manage operations of a fleet of 345 vehicles. This analyses the productivity of the overall

operations in real time domain.

In charge of Door-to-Door Collection in all 71 UCs. I have designed the routes of Mini Dumpers

according to the waste generation ratio of the residential areas, on the basis of Time and Motion Study.

Head of Mechanical Sweeping (580km/day) and Mechanical Washing on more than 50 major roads.

Organizing and managing the machinery required in operations of Open Plot Clearance, which

emphasis on Anti-Dengue Drive.

Looking after PMS (Penalty Management System) and complaint re-dressel cell (1139), which deals

in resolving all complaints of the client and residents, with 95% efficiency every month.

Generation of the monthly invoices for claim of the operational activities performed each month.

On behalf of my company, I had handled the clearance of client's invoices and payments.

Engineer Operations January 2012 – July 2015

My responsibilities included:

The operational work started with field visits, which helped us in planning the execution strategies of

the operations of Clean Lahore Project, before initiating maneuvers in March 2012.

Had supervised and monitored all the activities of the project regarding operations in Zone II (71

UCs), in the transition period of 12 months, after the launching of the project. Among my duties were intra-

departmental communication and communication with the client-LWMC regarding implementations of the

operational activities as per the contract signed between the client LWMC and contractor Ozpak JV in the

transition period which continues till date.

Developed the operational activity plans on the waste generation rate of each UC using the

available data and data observed during the field visits. This includes placement of more than 3000

garbage containers and route plan of Garbage Compactors for all 71 UCs.

For the placement of garbage containers, Garmin 60 GPS device was used for location points.

Along with that the allotment of vehicles were made according to the rate of generation and the

roads available in the localities.

Introduction of Beat Team System in the Manual Sweeping in Lahore, which improved the

efficiency along with reducing the work force on the Manual Sweepers.

Developed the operational activity plans on the waste generation rate of each UC using the

available data and data observed during the field visits. This includes placement of more than 6000

garbage containers and route plan of Garbage Compactors for all 71 UCs.

Achievements:

On-time taking control of 71 UCs in transition period.

Waste Collection increased from 60% to 95+% generated in Zone II, from 1400 tons/day to 2500+

tons/day.

Developed Route Plans for Garbage Compactor Vehicles in the transition period and yet after 3

years, they are still applicable with 90% of plans in operations.

Designing Route Plans & implementing them successfully for Mechanical Sweepers and Mechanical

Washers, with 95% working efficiency rates.

Lowest Ratio of Dengue patients in 2013 & 2014 in 71UCs among total 150 UCs in Lahore, due

to timely Open Plot Clearance Program.

Steep Decrease in the deduction of invoice by the client LWMC from 8.5% to 0.3%.

Was the focal person in the organizing of the meeting of CM KPK and my company on December

6th, 2013. After which the comprehensive cleaning & sanitation plan was approved for Peshawar,

followed by the rest of the cities in the province.

KIMSE YOK MU AID & SOLIDARITY ASSOCIATION PAKISTAN

Program Coordinator September 2010 - October 2011

Worked with the Turkish NGO after the massive floods in 2010. My basic duty was to help in settling

up & opening of a branch office in Pakistan. I made plans, and monitored its implementations, for the

distribution of different assistance items. I used to submit the reports to the Country Representative. I

successfully accomplished the following projects:

Designed & supervised construction of a Water Filtration Plant in Govt. Degree College

Muzaffargarh of cost Rs. 390,000.

Distributed 5 containers of non-food items, worth Rs. 8 million, in collaboration with Al Khidmat

Foundation, to more than 1500 families of the War & Flood affected families of Swat in January 2011.

Installed more than 500 specially designed isolated tents throughout the flood affected areas of

the country.

Arranged & prepared the slaughtering places in the localities of Jahangira according to

international standards.

Supervised all activities from receiving the guests (Members of Parliament) with VIP Protocols to

their courage on Media, slaughtering of 150 cows to their packing & distributing them among the 800

flood affectees families.

Supervised the arrangement, slaughtering & distribution of 2800 cows all over the country

especially Punjab & KPK.

Provided shelter, food & clothing to rehabilitates 90 families in Distt. Nowshera (tent village was

established).

Renovated and furnished two Govt. Primary Schools in Jahangira.

Provided schools shoes to all the children of all Govt. Primary Schools of Jahangira Town (3500

pairs).

Rebuilding & renovating of two Masjids in the town of Jahangira which costs approximately Rs. 1

Million each.

Community Services

I worked as a Supervisor & Student Counsellor in the students dorms of Pak-Turk International

School Islamabad since September 2006 up to June 2010. Some of my duties were:

In-charge of the Mess Staff.

Looking after senior-grade students, guiding & counseling them for their higher studies.

Planning the routine time table for the students according to their class levels.

I had been a voluntary relief worker & interpreter for Turkish NGO KIMSE YOK MU in different

areas affected by the 2005 Earthquake.

Helped in starting post disaster relief activities in Muzzaffarabad AJK, within 72hours after the

earthquake.

Worked as volunteer in the fields of water, sanitation & hygiene issues in AJK in the aftermath of

2005 earthquake for 4 years.

I had worked voluntarily as a teacher & administrator at RANRA WELFARE ORGANIZATION

SWAT for 8 months in 2005. I looked after the accounts of organization and participated in community

meeting with different stakeholders.
