The Ward County Highway Depart-ment will begin mowing ditchesaround the Minot area starting June29. Additional ditch mowing ex-tending out into the county will starton July 13th. Adjacent landownerswho plan to mow ditches for hayshould cut before the county mowsthese areas. There will be no ex-ceptions to leaving sections for hay-ing. A map of the mowing areas willbe available on the county websitewww.co.ward.nd.us/highwayPlease note that in areas wherethere are construction projectsscheduled, mowing will be complet-ed as a part of the project prior, tothe time indicated on the website.No hay bales can be placed withinthe clear zone of a county road (20 ftoff the edge of the roadway).
