2014 came to a conclusion after yet another successful Dan Shim Sa Grading. During this event, Region 2 was fortunate enough to be joined by: Sa Bom Nim Michael Austin, Sa Bom Nim Broman and Sa Bom Nim McGrath, who took the time off their busy schedules to be apart of this special week. During the Dan Shim Sa Grading, each Gup group demonstrated a variety of techniques, ranging from Gi Cho, Hyungs and Weaponry, to Sparring Combinations, partner work (i.e Il Soo Sik Dae Ryun and Ho Sin Sool) and Kyo Pa (board breaks). A great amount of effort went into these presentations from both the students and the instructors. For months prior to this week, students took part in strenuous training, under the regular guidance of their assigned instructors. We had numerous candidates take part, ranging from 10 th Gup to 1 st Dan. In particular, we had Jo Kyo Barbara Blundell, Kyo Sa Luke Mattarochia, Jo Kyo Ja Jet Loh and Jo Kyo Ja Yee Loh grade for their E Dan. In addition to this, Isabelle Colvin and Jack Burton graded for their Cho Dan. These candidates are to be commended for the effort and dedication they put into preparing for their testing. A special thanks to Sa Bom Nim Connor for his efforts in preparing yet another successful Dan Shim Sa Grading. Your efforts in getting Region 2 to where it is now are to be commended by each and every one of us. Thank you for the dedication and inspiration you have brought for the past twenty years.
