DARLEY DUAL SELF TESTING SYSTEM PRE-PAC SKID RESIDENTIAL NFPA 13D FIRE PUMP SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS ELECTRIC MOTOR DRIVEN This specification covers the manufacturing and supplying 1 (qty.) packaged residential NFPA 13D DUAL fire pump system including TWO (2) 304 Stainless Steel Vertical Inline pump complete with motors, self-testing AND self-calibrating DUAL controller system consisting of TWO independent STS controller within single enclosure, and accessories as outlined. The contractor shall provide and install a DARLEY DUAL SELF TEST SYSTEM PRE-PAC SKID MODEL # DSTS-xx-x-x OR ENGINEERED APPROVED EQUAL. PACKAGE MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO PERFORM AUTOMATIC SELF-TEST AS DESCRIBED BELOW, AND SELF-CALIBRATE TO EXISTING SPRINKLER SYSTEM, NO EXCEPTIONS. The automatic test must include an automatic pump start test based on an automatic drop in pressure start. Any test that requires any type of human intervention shall not be considered adequate. Designed for ____ GPM at a discharge pressure of ____ PSI. Pump shall be complete with vertical totally enclosed fan cooled motors rated for ___ HP,__ Phase, 60 Cycle,____ volt operation, NO EXCEPTION. SKID: Pumps shall be installed by the factory on a single skid complete with suction and discharge manifolds. Manifolds shall be constructed of stainless steel and include all components needed for system to operate as described below. Manifolds shall be designed so the self testing and auto-calibration features perform as required. Manifolds shall include ball valves on both the suction and discharge side of each pump, check valves on the discharge side of each pump and the required test valve. CONTROLLER: The Controller shall be a DUAL SELF TESTING and SELF CALIBRATING SYSTEM with two independent STS controllers with the single NEMA 2 enclosure. They shall each have built in suction and discharge pressure transducers (pressure switch based systems shall not be considered an equal). Each DSTS controller shall be designed to automatically perform a self-test and calibrate to existing sprinkler system with the touch of a single button. Controller shall require NO manual settings. “jockey pump” without operating the pumps run remote contacts and recharge the sprinkler system in the event of a slow drop in pressure. Each DSTS controller shall operate the test solenoid without conducting a system test to provide fresh water into seal chambers in the event pumps are running under recovered pressure conditions, but under the control of the minimum run timer. The Controller system shall be a DARLEY DUAL SELF TESTING SYSTEM Model DSTS-xx-x-xx-E, or engineer approved equal. The DUAL controller system shall be rated for use with two ____HP, ___Phase ,60 Cycle, ____ Volt Each Automatic test shall verify at a minimum the following, every fourteen (14) days:

• Automatic Pump Start when a drop in system pressure occurs, no exceptions. Manual pump start test will not be considered an equal.

• System Discharge Pressure within range of saved calibrated pressure • System Discharge Pressure not over 150 psi • System Suction Pressure within range of saved calibrated pressure • Pump Performance Characteristics within range of saved calibrated values

Discovery Mode The controller shall provide a discovery mode to show the operator the present values for the following:

• Calibrated Static Suction Pressure • Calibrated Flow Suction Pressure • Calibrated Static Discharge Pressure • Calibrated Flow Discharge Pressure • Current Suction Pressure • Current Discharge Pressure

Web Browser Capability The controller shall provide a built in web server, with a user defined IP address, so the status of the following system LEDs can be monitored anytime over the network:

• Pump running • Test Mode • Test Ok • System Failure

The web page shall also keep count of the number of times the above system LEDs turn on. Email Capability over the internet The controller shall have the capability to send a specific email message to 3 different email addresses, each time any of the following system LEDs turn on:

• Pump running • Test Mode • Test Ok • System Failure

Each Controller Shall Include the Following: NEMA 2 red enclosure Horsepower Rated Disconnect Switch Motor Contactor(s) Suction Pressure Transducer(s) with brass bulkhead fitting Discharge Pressure Transducer(s) with brass bulkhead fitting Through the door Digital Suction and Discharge Pressure Display 80 db Alarm Horn Remote Start Input Alarm Silence Button Test/Calibrate Button LED Lights for:

Pump(s) Running

AC Power Test Mode Test OK System Fault

Dry Contacts for: Power Failure (drop-out) System Failure (drop-out) Pump(s) Running (not active in jockey mode)

Ethernet TCP/IP connection to local network using RJ45 socket Control shall test each pump individually and at different times, timing of such test must come as part of the standard programming.
