VETERANS DAY APPRECIATION

Tuesday, November 11 May we salute all veterans past and present, support the events of this day, and give thanks to the men and women who sacrificed so we may have freedom.

Proud to be an AMERICAN – Always loyal to our flag, our nation, and our dream – Many individuals together on one team – Equality and freedom is our promise and our right – Respecting each citizen who cherishes liberty’s light – Indivisible and united, our spirit never dies – Courageously defending our seas, land and skies – Admirably upholding our values every day – Nobly protecting the American Way!

Dear First Class Club Members,

Another fall comes to a close, and it’s time to start preparing for the holiday season, reflecting on your many blessings as you share the holidays with family and friends. With a change of the seasons and a busy time of year, remember to mark your calendar for the FCC events in this newsletter for dates of interest to you: Pumpkin Pie Day, Customer Appreciation Days, and FCC trips and activities.

I would like to thank all FCC members and friends who joined us in 2017 on trips or attended one of the Club events. We are thankful for your trust and involvement in the First Class Club. May you and your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving, a merry Christmas, and a healthy, happy New Year!

Best wishes for the holiday season!

Call Gloria (696-2258) or stop at the downtown FB&T location to receive a complete brochure of this trip offered through the First Class Club and designed by Star Destinations.

MAJESTIC SIERRA NATIONAL PARKS October 5–11, 2018 This is another amazing trip designed by Star Destinations for the First Class Club. This trip will be fly out/fly home via the Sioux Falls airport. Upon arrival in Los Angeles, we will board our deluxe motor coach and head to downtown LA for a group welcome dinner. The very next morning we are off for a five-day unforgettable adventure.

Highlights include a train ride along the California coastline, Monterey Bay Aquarium, 17-Mile Drive, open-air tram tour of Yosemite, fall foliage of the Sierras, Kings Canyon National Park, and Sequoia National Park.

Included in the tour price of $3316 per person for double occupancy and $3889 for singles are round-trip airport transfers (leaving from FB&T East Bank location) and air travel to Los Angeles, 6 nights’ accommodations, 13 meals, professional tour manager, admission to attractions as listed in the brochure, gratuities for the driver/guides, taxes and gratuities for included services, luggage handling at hotels for one bag per person, and travel protection. A deposit of $500 per person is required with your registration form. Final payments will be due June 26, 2018.

It is never too early to register. We have 24 seats on this trip, with 8 reservations already taken; that leaves room for only 16 more lucky travelers! If you have any questions or would like a complete brochure mailed out, please call Gloria (696-2258), or you are welcome to stop in at the Brookings downtown FB&T location.

BRANSON AT CHRISTMASTIME November 2018 This will be a shared trip with the First Class Club of Milbank. We are just planning right now, but we want to get the word out to all those who want to go to Branson only during the Christmas season. This visit will be “all Christmas”; none of the regular shows.

A list has been started. No definite details will be known until mid-year 2018 when the schedules for the one-time performers during the holiday season come out, in hopes of getting some of those performers lined up for our trip. Call Gloria (696-2258) to be added to the list.

MOVIE OF THE MONTH

The movie for Tuesday, November 21 will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Cinema 8 Theater in Brookings. Doors will open at 1 p.m. for the 1:30 show. There will be NO MOVIE for the month of December.

For the movie flyer, you can check the bank entrance doors, drive-up window, or online (www.bankeasy.com/first-class), or the movie title will also be on my voice mail (696-2258) approximately one week before the movie date.

The cost of the movie is $5, which includes your show ticket, pop, and popcorn. You are always welcome to bring a friend, neighbor, or family member. You may even win a door prize!

SPECIAL GREETINGS

May this greeting bring cheer to your day. We wish a speedy recovery to anyone who has been ill or in the hospital. We extend our deepest sympathy to those families who have lost a loved one. Please know we are thinking of you.

A special greeting goes out to those celebrating a birthday or anniversary in November or December. We wish you many more!

A dinner break will be made at the Prairie House Restaurant in Gaylord on the way home; anticipated time back in Brookings is 9:30 p.m. The cost for this day trip is $85, which includes the lunch, play, driver’s gratuity, and Ludolph motor-coach transportation. November 24 is the deadline to sign up; call Gloria (696-2258) or stop at the FB&T downtown location in Brookings.

CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAYS FB&T Main & East Banks Thursday & Friday, December 21–22 Please join us for Customer Appreciation Days, which will be held on December 21 and 22 at both Main and East Bank from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come celebrate the holidays with us by enjoying a cup of hot cider or coffee, cookies, and candy, as well as visiting with employees and friends at either or both locations. During Customer Appreciation Days we express our thanks for your continued business and friendship.

2018 Trips

The trip has filled; however, wait list is available. If Ireland is on your bucket list, this will be one of those memorable trips of a lifetime! Except for a few meals and souvenirs, this is an all-inclusive tour with 10 nights’ lodging in deluxe accommodations and breakfast at our hotel every morning before we start out on our day’s adventures.

Tour price is $4,995 per person for double occupancy and an additional $947 for singles. A $500 deposit per person is required with your registration form, along with a copy of your passport (valid for six months past our return date). Final payments will be due Mach 20, 2018.

PUMPKIN PIE DAY FB&T East Bank Wednesday, November 22 Join us on Wednesday, November 22 for pumpkin pie. Pie and coffee will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lobby at East Bank only. It is our way of saying thank you and wishing a happy Thanksgiving to our new and many loyal customers. We hope you can stop in to share a few minutes of your day with us.

ONE-DAY TRIP to BLOOMINGTON, MN The Nutcracker’s Nuts Wednesday, December 6 This holiday comedy is a retirement community’s version of the traditional Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker. The producer has described the production as “a fractured fairytale,” “witty and wildly entertaining.”

This is a new dinner theatre that the First Class Club has not been to, so join us and check out this holiday-favorite play. We will arrive in time for lunch (choice of entrées: Chicken Kiev, Roast Loin of Pork, or Country Sausage with Sauerkraut; salad bar; red potatoes; cut green beans; green-leaf salad; rolls; coffee and tea; and spice cake for DESSERT). Showtime is 1:15 p.m., and we will be back on the road for home at approximately 4 p.m.
