Dear Saint Paul School Families,
Thank you to PTO, students and faculty for the bulletin board in myhonor. I especially enjoyed reading why the students think I am thebest principal! It was very hard to pick just one to share so attachedare a few pictures. The term RIGOR is used in education when describing itscurriculum. But what does it mean? What does it look like? How is itmeasured or can it be? What does rigor mean to the SPS faculty and staff?
Pushing students by giving them meaningful and challenging tasks that extend their thinking. Always wondering about how you can extend your students understanding. When students can explain their answers or the logic and reasoning behind those answers. Students are engaged.
Congratulations to Ms. Buckley in Grade 4 for the winning entry. She has won a Chromecast for herclassroom. Chromecast will allow her to stream from the iPad or laptop to the Smartboard remotely. Stay tuned next week for faculty examples of what it looks like. What does rigor mean to you? What does it look like? Please complete the attached form andreturn to the main office by Thursday October 27. Responses will be entered to win a Stop andShop gift card. There has been an increase in students asking to use the microwave in the kitchen. Mrs. Knobloch isbusy preparing lunch and it is a tight space. Please pack lunches that do not require heating and/orchoose to use a thermos.
Sincerely,Ms. Lisa M. FasanoPrincipal
