Progress and Planned Activities • Pavement Operations are beginning in the Northeast Quadrant
• McCarthy will maintain driveways by adding crushed stone as required
• Relocated Street Lighting during construction to be maintained and illuminate along new roadway
• METRO/McCarthy are working to adjust schedule activities to keep the project on schedule • Select construction activities will be built concurrently with major bridge activities during the third phase of
construction
• McCarthy will be working extended hours to expedite completion of roadway pavement • The placing, finishing, curing, and saw cutting new pavement requires extended work hours
• Utility crews started 12 hour days instead of 10 hours
• To make up time due to rain, McCarthy chose to work on one Sunday in November
• McCarthy plans to work extra shifts during the drilling of the 6 major bridge bents in Phase II of the project • Weather permitting, this work will begin in January 2016

Rough grade, lime stabilize subgrade, fine grade, erect forms, place steel reinforcement, place
concrete, cure, and saw cut for new roadway, intersection and driveway pavement
Install curbs and sidewalks
Install underground conduit for bridge lighting
Install temporary asphalt transitions from existing roadway to new concrete pavement
East of UPRR
Complete all storm sewer lines
Complete 8” waterlines
Complete Sanitary sewer lines
Wet connects for water services
Clear and grub right of way for new roadway pavement

• Collaborated with the EEMD, the EECOC, Business Owners, and Residential Stakeholders
• Final Product is the East End Calendar of Events scheduled to start on Wednesday, December 2 • We have produced 5,000 flyers ( English/Spanish) • Posters printed and distributed • Banners – facilities will install • Radio Buys with Univision ( Estereo Latino) • Print ads with two week run of the front cover and two page spread due December 2
