Absolute value - Distance that a number is from zero on a number line

Arithmetic sequence - List of numbers where the difference between consecutive numbers is the same

Average - Sum of the numbers divided by how many numbers were added together

Circle - Set (or locus) of all points equidistant from a given point the center

Circumference - Distance around a circle

Collinear points - Points that lie on the same line

L.C.M. (least common multiple) - Divisible by two or more numbers (24 is the L.C.M. of 8 and 12)

Mean - Average (see notes)

Median - The middle of a set of numbers when listed in order (take the average if a tie)

Mile - 5,280 ft. (see HSPA math reference sheet)

Mode - Occurs the most in a set of numbers

Permutation - A group of items chosen with regard to order

Prime - Divisible only by itself and 1

Proportion - Two equal ratios

Range - Difference between the greatest and least numbers in a set

Ratio - where and have the same unit of measure

Recursive - Each term is generated by repeating a math operation Ex.
