Adventure Camp at Lake ParkAges 8–14Are you a bit more on the adventurous side? Do you want to go on a wide variety of fields trips everyday? Then Adventure Camp is what you are looking for! Each session is 2 weeks long. While at camp, you do a bit of everything: trips to water parks, baseball games, zoos, movies, laser tag, rock climbing, entertainment centers (Enchanted Castle, Odyssey Fun World), bowling, canoeing, and more. Plus, each session we enjoy an overnight campout at Rock Cut State Park. This camp is limited to only 26 adventurers per session, so sign up quickly. You can attend one session or enjoy all five, because the destinations vary in each camp session. Tentative details for all five camp sessions are available on our website! Rock Cut State Park Camp Out

Ages 8–14Start your summer off right! First time and experienced campers are invited to join us for an overnight tent campout at Rock Cut State Park in Illinois. We roast marshmallows over an open campfire, enjoy meals cooked outdoors, and participate in a variety of recreational outdoor activities, including a field trip to Volcano Falls and swimming at Magic Waters Aquatic Center in Rockford on Saturday (weather permitting). For ages 3–5 Let your tiny dancer come on a magical adventure as they take their first steps in dance. This camp is a combination of creative movement, beginner ballet and jazz. Our fairy tale theme will make camp fun. More than just a dance camp, Tiny Dancers specializes in inspiring a love of dance through an imaginative program designed especially for young children. The camp includes daily instruction in ballet, modern and jazz, along with fine motor exercise through a theme related craft, and their exclusive story and dress-up dance interpretation. The camp culminates with a recital and reception for family and friends on the last Thursday of each session at 2:30pm. Summer Camp Refund Policy• 90% refund for all requests received and date stamped on or before May 18, 2012.• 75% refund for all requests received and date stamped by the first day of the registered camp session.• All refunds received after the first day of a session are prorated from the time the request is received and date stamped by our office; all refunds are assessed a 25% processing fee.

AssistancePark District staff is not capable of providing bathroom assistance to those individuals who cannot care for themselves. Please contact 847-391-5700 for further information or clarification. If you are in need of assistance from our Maine Niles Special Recreation Association please check the Americans with Disabilities Act Need Accommodation box on the Des Plaines Park District program registration form.Please note that all requests for M-NASR assistance in our programs must be made at least one week in advance of the program start date. Unfortunately, we may not be able to fulfill requests made with less than one week’s notice.

Parents are responsible for informing the Park District of any physical or emotional limitations that may limit or impair their children’s participation in activities that are conducted in the camp session for which they are registering.

Children enrolled in Park District programs are not released to anyone other than a parent or guardian. Persons desiring a different procedure must inform the camp supervisor, in writing, prior to camp.For detailed information on our camp programs, parent packets will be mailed to your house or can be found on our website: www.DPParks.org

Scholarship InformationProgram scholarships are available for individuals unable to afford program fees. Scholarship requests should be submitted at least three weeks prior to all program registration. An approved scholarship is required for camp registration at a reduced fee. Approved scholarship applications do not guarantee acceptance into programs; all general registration procedures should be followed. Applications are available on our website, at the Leisure Center or Prairie Lakes during business hours, or by calling 847-391-5700.
