Our June presenTaTiOn bypopular speaker Dr. ThomasKindell*, will demonstrate that itis impossible for Darwinism toexplain the irreducibly complexmetamorphic transformation ofthe Monarch caterpillar into themajestic Monarch butterfly. This

creature migrates farther than any other insect,using navigational and flight endurance capa-bilities that cannot be currently matched by anymicro-aerial vehicles of human design. *Dr. Thomas Kindell was once an ardent believer in the

“fact” of evolution. However, through his exposure to the

scientific case for creation, he became a zealous creationist.

He has received advanced training in scientific creationism

through the Graduate School of the Institute for Creation

Research in Santee, California. He also received his M.A. in

Biblical Studies from California Graduate School of Theology,

and holds a Doctorate in Philosophy of Theology (major in

philosophy of Biblical apologetics).

By popular demand we are opening thistrip to everyone. DSA will be hostingan all-day tour bus geology field trip

this summer for DSA members, friends, pas-tors and teachers in the Columbia RiverGorge. The trip will be led by Keith Swenson,Professor of Natural Sciences, and RickThompson, Lake Missoula Floods specialist.This is patterned after the river outings givenin Grand Canyon where college professorsare invited to go and see the evidence andhear an explanation from a biblical viewpoint.The trip will include multiple stops to see andgain an understanding of the forces that gaveus this beautiful and most unusual naturalresource.

We encourage DSA people to invite yourpastor or teacher (whether they are undecidedon the issue, or simply want to learn moreabout this abundant local evidence of creation/ catastrophe) to come and have you accom-pany them. We are hoping that we receiveenough donations for this trip that the pastoror teacher expense would be fully supportedwith just a modest expense to the DSA mem-ber accompanying them.

Last summer Ray Thompson and friends had abooth at the Oregon State Fair giving away freeDVDs (such as: God of Wonders, Evolution vs.God) and creation materials from Answers inGenesis, ICR, Creation Ministries Internationaland Living Waters / Ray Comfort ministries. Raywould like to do the same this summer (Aug 22–Sept 1) with a more attractive booth, using lami-nated digital printed banners and signs. Boothvolunteers do not argue or debate visitors at thefair, but simply offer free creation materials that build and edify the body of Christ and glorifyHim as Creator of the heavens and earth and all there is.

State Fair Creation Info BoothAugust 22 – September 1, 2014

Three million hours(about 350 years) ago,Mount Hood erupted, send-ing hot ash and boulderslarger than vans 8 milesdown the Sandy River,burying and destroying theexisting trees down the val-ley. Some burned cedarsnags (dead trees) far enough from the main channelremain standing and some that rotted away have lefttree wells that extend down to 30 feet deep.

Bring your lunch and walking stick in case the footbridge has been removed. This is a 4 mile hike up and back from the Ramona Falls parking lot.
