    Obtain input from seniors on their vision forDetroit.

    Gather information on the needs and desires

    of seniors and adults with disabilities. Generate input from delegates that will shape

    a Senior-Friendly Detroit. Submit information to the Detroit Works

    Project Task Force.

    Total population for the City of Detroit has decreased

    steadily for the last decade.

    Total senior population in the City of Detroit is

    expected to increase an estimated 5.6% according

    the 2005-2009 American Community Survey.

    Declines in population impact tax revenues,congressional representation, general revenue and
