The Committee on Nominations & Elections has received Nominations for all but one of the offices to be filled by election at the Convention; there remains one slot for a lay person to be nominated to serve as a Deputy to General Convention, 2018. The 79th General Convention will be held in Austin, Texas, July 5 – 13, 2018. To submit the name of a lay person for election as a Deputy (or for another position), please complete and return a Nomination form, included in this issue, and a photograph/ brief (250 words or less) biography to scaprani@cfdiocese.org by Tuesday, January12th – or sooner - to have that name printed on the ballot and to have the Nominee’s information posted on the website. Convention Deputy Nominees are asked to respond to the following question “What do you see as the most important challenge facing General Convention, 2018?” Nominations for elected offices may also be made from the Convention floor.
