Happy Trails to you… This booklet is full of adventure. Itprovides an opportunity to experience the outdoors andbe active with your friends and family members whilediscovering the hiking trails and beauty of nature in andaround Webster.
It’s easy. Just take this passport with you and walk thetrails. As you walk each trail, record your visit in the pass-port by using a pencil or crayon to make a rubbing of thedesignated trail marker (see inside back cover).
After you have visited six trails, bring your passport to theWebster Parks and Recreation Office, 1350 ChiyodaDrive, to receive a 5 visit punch pass to the WebsterRecreation Fitness Facility and a product coupon fromWegmans (one per year). When you complete at least 10trails, you will be eligible to win a grand prize: a $100.00Wegmans gift card and free rental of Liberty Lodge atFinn Park. A winner will be chosen every year at the endof September. You do not need to complete the10 trails inone year to be eligible.

Length: 1.25 miles
Features: Finn Park consists of 50 acres of land located just north of Route 104 between Maple Roadand Gravel Road. Parking can be found at LibertyLodge, off Maple Drive. The trail begins in the woodlotbehind Liberty Lodge. Start at the southeast corner ofthe Liberty Lodge lawn. The trail travels 0.25 mile,over a small stream, through a mature beech forest, toa perimeter trail around a meadow. This meadow trailcircles 0.75 mile around ideal monarch butterfly habi-tat. The footpath parallels Shipbuilder’s Creek beforefinally looping back. Follow the wooded trail back toLiberty Lodge.

Four Mile Creek PreserveLocation: The parking lot is at the corner of Phillips and Lake Roads, 160 Phillips Rd (N43° 15.8838', W077° 25.2036').
Difficulty: Easy
Length: Blue Loop Trail .75 milesRed Loop Trail 1.4 miles
Features: The park consists of 72 acres purchased in 2004 by the Town of Webster under the open space referendum. The preserve features sections of Four Mile Creek and its major tributary, Salt Creek. Both are prime fishing waters. There are a variety of ecosys-tems such as old growth forest, succession forest, and wetlands. Fishing is permitted (license required) in Four Mile Creek and Salt Creek. Hunting will be by special Town permit only. Motorized vehicles, fires, camping, firearms and trapping are prohibited.

Location: parking lot is at the corner of Vosburg andDrumm Roads.• Big Field Trail is an easy 1.2 mile trail that followsthe perimeter of the field. The trailhead is at the park-ing lot at the corner of Vosburg Road and DrummRoad. This trail provides beautiful views of the grass-land field and wildflowers. Walks on this trail mayinclude seeing turkeys, deer and a variety of birds. Thistrail is great for cross country skiing.• Big Woods Trail is a moderate 0.8 mile trail thatstarts from the Big Field Trail 0.2 mile north of theparking lot. In an effort to not disturb the naturalcharacter of the woods, there are no blazes to markthe trail and minimal trail clearing. The trail is easy tofollow and the reward is the spectacular beauty of the“Big Woods”.• Meadow Trail is an easy 0.5 mile trail that startsfrom the Big Field Trail 0.1 mile north of the parkinglot. It goes east into a small meadow and then loopsback to the west through woods connecting to the BigWoods Trail between the Big Field Trail and theOverlook Trail.

Midnight TrailLocation: Entrance to Midnight Trail is via Webster Park at 999 Lake Rd. Trail is south of the Webster camp sites and the Mohawk Lodge. You can also park at the Whiting Road Nature Preserve, 403 Whiting Rd (N43° 15.4792', W077° 27.6115'), and walk east on the trail that connects from Whiting Road to Webster Park’s West Loop and the Mohawk Lodge. Signs are posted to assist you.
Difficulty: Easy, with a couple moderate slopes.
Length: .67 miles
Features: Wide paths that meander in a loop around primarily old beech trees. There are several interior trails that bring you to a picnic area (please, carry-in/carry-out your picnic trash). These multi-use trails are great for walking, running, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. Cyclists should access the Midnight Trail via the road which starts at 999 Lake Rd and goes south to the Mohawk Lodge and the Midnight Trail.
