STARTING A NEW CLUB

1)Rotary club sponsor should have an active member to be the liaison between the club and the school advisor. The club liaison should update the club on a regular basis. There should be a line of communication in order to work projects of both the Rotary and Interact club supporting each other.

2)Get a good School advisor – High school and/or Middle School.Teacher, Counselor , someone in direct contact with student body – someone with energy who can stimulate students.

3) Charter application for Rotary International for each club:

A) The Rotary club Liaison member should fill out the Interact Club Certification form to give to School advisor.

B) The School advisor fills in those charter member names who are between the ages of 13 and 18. Make sure the prospective Interact Club President signs the form.

C) Have Rotary club sponsor President sign the form and forward to the District Governor.D) The current District Governor of the sponsoring Rotary Club signs the form to forward to Rotary International. E) Rotary International will send the Charter to the Rotary club President.
