Purpose of the Report
This report is developed by the School Improvement Council to
communicate the progress of the school in achieving the goals and objectives in the strategic plan.
Students are given the opportunity to be
members of the Bow Tie Club or Girls in
Pearls. Boys and girls must qualify in the
following areas to be members: DOJO 80%
and above, 77 and above in all subjects and
no discipline referrals for the nine weeks.

Mission:
Educate all students by providing a rigorous and relevant curriculum with
supportive programs.
Vision:
The vision of Saluda Elementary School is to become an exemplary school in which every student leaves equipped to
succeed in school, work and life.
Celebrate With Us
Saluda Elementary was awarded the Palmetto Silver Award in two areas:
Overall Performance and closing
Student Achievement Gap Saluda Elementary Honors Choir performed a
Christmas Musical in December and will perform
the Lion King in May
Monthly meetings were held in our new parent
resource room. Teachers met with parents to
discuss ELA, Math, Science & Social Studies
SES continues to partner with the Saluda Garden Club and BiLo SES appreciates the volunteers from the Lions
Club and Piedmont Tech’s Nursing Program. They provide our third and fifth graders with a vision and hearing screening.
Saluda Elementary continues to be data driv-
en by utilizing MAP testing to track student
progress.
PAWS—Parents Actively Working with Stu-
dents—thanks to all who joined, participated
in our fundraisers, meetings and family nights.
SES appreciates all the support from our local churches with their food programs and tutoring services they provide our students
During the month of February, SES participated in a variety of activities to learn about the history of African Americans. On February 24, SES held a community/school program celebrating music, history, reflection and inspiration.
