NRA and HRRP called a short preparatory meeting with Caritas Nepal and CRS team at NRA office to discuss about formally appoint NRA/HRRP focal person at Gorkha Municipality supported by Caritas Nepal and CRS. The preparator meeting discussed and finalized the coordination meeting and specific terms of reference of focal person deployed at Gorkha Municipality.

NRA and HRRP Gorkha organized coordination meeting at Gorkha Municipality on 20th February 2018. NRA/HRRP clarified the objective of the focal person and shared the terms of reference of focal person. Mr. Bed Prasad Aacharya, Chief of NRA handed over the terms of reference to Mr. Rajan Raj Pant – Mayor of Gorkha municipality and the terms of reference was handed over to Mr. Achut Neupane – focal person by mayor. The coordination meeting had the following objectives and agenda:
• NRA and HRRP updated the reconstruction update within the municipality
• NRA/HRRP focal person formally appointed at Gorkha Municipality in presence of Mayor Mr. Rajan Pant and the focal person was supported by Caritas Nepal and CRS.
• NRA and HRRP requested municipality to support focal person work specifically targeting reconstruction work.

• NRA/HRRP conducted coordination meeting at Hotel Miracle on 21st February 2018. Total 24 participants from partner organization participated in the meeting. The coordination meeting discussed and made some decisions on the following agenda:

Dr. Hari Ram Parajuli – Executive Member of NRA Kathmandu, Mr. Shiv Poudyal – Acting chief of NRA, Gorkha, Mr. Chandra Gurung – District Coordinator – HRRP, Gorkha, Mr. Atit Shrestha – Technical Coordinator – HRRP, Gokrha, Mr. Bibek Ghimire – Technical Coordinator of OXFAM visited the in the opening ceremony of 50 thousand top up support of vulnerable HHs supported by OXFAM and its partners Unification Nepal and Goreto, Gorkha. The HHs were identified as socio-economically vulnerable, single woman, persons with disabled, and poorest of the poor by local bodies at Ghyachok of Ajirkot Rural Municipality, and Saurpani 0f Sulikot Rural Municipality. The detail of the program has been mentioned in the field visit section below.

Field visit Report
NRA/HRRP focal person Mr. Sunil Pokharel conducted rural municipality level meeting and interaction program at Soti bazaar, Aarughat on 20th February 2018. The focus of this event was to discuss on ways to well manage the housing reconstruction of earthquake affected people within the rural municipality. This meeting was chaired by Mr. Purna Dahal, Chairperson of the Aarughat rural municipality along with the representation of the ward chairman of all wards within the rural municipality. The coordination meeting discussed and made some decisions on the following agenda:
• Reporting on the update of reconstruction
• Challenges and solutions of reconstruction
• Procedure of tranche distribution
• Issues of houses constructed before the release of NRA guidelines
• Retrofitting

Activity Summary • Management of tranche files in the district
NRA/HRRP focal person, Mr. Sunil Pokharel conducted and facilitated the orientation program on the grievances solution on 22nd February 2018 in Aarughat rural municipality. The key participants of this program were RM working committee members, chairman and vice chairman, ward chairperson and ward secretary and was chaired by Mr. Purna Dahal, chairman of Aarughat rural municipality. Siwon Khand, MOFALD CLPIU, was the key speaker. Similarly, Mr Sudeep Karmacharya from EHRP working in DCC, cleared the issues and questioned raised by the participants regarding tranche release in the district.

• For opening of top-up support to vulnerable households with the financial/technical support of OXFAM and its partners
• Open interaction with the beneficiaries, with the lead of Dr. Hari Ram Parajuli, Central NRA
Summary
NRA and HRRP with the support of OXFAM and its partners planned to distribute the top up support (financial & technical support by OXFAM and its partners) to vulnerable HHs in 2 locations, 97 hhs in Ghyachowk and 81 HHs Saurpani of Ajirkot and Sulikot rural municipality respectively. The team of NRA, led by Dr. Hari Ram Parajuli and HRRP district team visited both places. There was an active participation of rural municipality authorities, beneficiaries and partners present in those locations. After the handover of representative cheque to one beneficiary (in both locations to Mr. Purna Bahadur Gurung, Ghyachowk and Mr. Bhim Prasad Dhakal, Saurpani), open interaction session was organized. Dr. Hari Ram Parajuli answered the queries raised by participants and rural municipality authorities. After the open interaction session, the program was closed, and the team headed back to Gorkha.

Summary
NRA and HRRP participated in the handover program of demo house (on the job training) constructed by SDSC/CRS along with the other stakeholders of the district. The construction of demo house is in Shahid Lakhan rural municipality - 7, Bankali, Bunkot and constructed by masons trained through 50 days OJT. The demo house was handed over to the Baankali Women Development Committee by Mr. Jitedra Basnet, CDO, Gorkha.
