PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Planning Commission recommends that UP-14-34 be APPROVED with the following stipulations: (9-0; Williams/Small)
1. The applicant/owner shall be allowed access between Suffolk and Chesapeake for the conditional uses described in application UP-14-34 and as shown on the Preliminary Site Plan, prepared by Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, date stamped December 5, 2014. Conditional Use Permit approval for access between Suffolk and Chesapeake will expire at such time the use in Suffolk expands beyond the proposed site area or proposed description in this Use Permit.
2. The elimination of the required 20-foot wide landscape buffer along the north property line, west of Lincoln Street (paper street) shall be approved by the Landscape Review Committee prior to final site plan approval.
Mrs. Hanson read UP-14-34 into the record for Commission review and action.
Staff Presentation:
Mrs. Hanson stated that based on sound planning practices, Planning staff recommended that UP-14-34 be APPROVED with the stipulations as listed in the official agenda.
COMMISSION VOTE:
Commissioner Williams moved that UP-14-34 be APPROVED with the stipulations as listed in the official agenda and as recommended by staff. Commissioner Small seconded the motion. The motion was carried by a vote of 9 - 0.
