Getting to know our members…

Please meet Scott Sanders.

I have been married to my wife Julie for 28 years and we have 3 sons, Chase, Brock and Drew. We have lived in East Canton since 1984 and own and operate Kreighbaum-Sanders and Sanders Funeral Homes. I am a graduate of Canton South High School, The Ohio State University and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. We continue to operate a 4-H project which started out as our children’s project, and has grown way out of control. We currently have 12 brood cows on our little hobby farm. When time permits, I enjoy golfing and traveling to see our children. (Yes, they are grown men but will always be our little children). In the past I have had the honor of serving as a volunteer and chairman of several Pro Football Hall Festival events and served as general chairman in 2002. I have also served as president of the East Canton Rotary Club (twice) and the Ohio Funeral Directors Association District 16. I have been blessed to be surrounded by many quality individuals that have made my past endeavors very enjoyable.  It is with great humility that I get to worship with this congregation

and give all the glory to God for the many blessings I have received.

Say hello to Scott today!

~Message from a Leader~2 Corinthians 9:6Drives home the point that if you sow sparingly you will reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will reap bountifully. I believe we as a church need to be reminded of this often. On many occasions we want to dip our toe in the water to see what will happen without making a full commitment. Just like in Christianity there can be no partial believers, you are either all in or all out. We need to take the all in approach in the projects and programs our church provides. Many of us do what we can, but is it really all that we can do? Life is busy, very busy, but we seem to still pick and choose the things that are important to us. If Indian Run Christian Church does not have a program that you can be passionate about, let me know, we can start one. I wish everyone a very safe and prosperous year, get your gardens ready, service the lawn mowers and feel free to help wherever you see fit here at your church..

Cordially,

~Core Doctrine Points~We believe in the Holy Spirit.

*We believe the Holy Spirit is also eternal and was active with God in the beginning.

*We believe the Holy Spirit actively ministers in the world today, convicting men of the grace of God in Jesus Christ.

*We believe the Holy Spirit inspired and continues to empower the word of God.

*We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within and empowers the church of Jesus Christ on earth.

*We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within the individual saint as comforter, guide, and unifier.

*We believe the Holy Spirit gives gifts to the saints according to His own wisdom for the edification of the church and the empowerment of the mission of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
