The Department of Research Specialists at Pioneer Hi-Bred Intemational, Inc. is seeking applicants forourongo-ing program ofcrop improvement. Entomology Coordinator.., will have responsibility forproviding overall scientific direction for the insect raringand bioassay laboratory. The laboratory provides insectsfor greenhouse and field screening by plant breeders andconducts bioassays to evaluate genes and gene productsidentified by the Biotechnology Department. A majorresponsibility will be the development of new, efficientinsect bioassay methods for insects of com, soybeans,sorghum, alfalfa, wheat and sunflower. The Entomology

Coordinator will hire, supervise and develop project em-ployees. The position will require extensive collaborationwith Biotechnology and Breeding Department scientists.The Entomology Coordinator will also have responsibilityfor coordinating and supervising the activities of the fieldentomology manager.
