    PRESIDENTS REPORT

While I was reflecting on what to write in mylast Presidents Report for 2014, I thought aboutour DSV website. It think its wonderful that peopleGoogle about dowsing and find us that way.

Recently Ive received a number of calls frompeople wanting to know more about the DSV. Ivebeen able to connect some of our members andCommittee members with various ones who werelooking for dowsing assistance. One person had

just bought a property in the country and wanted adowser to determine whether there wasunderground water suitable to sink a bore and todowse to find any underground springs.

Another person wanted dowsing help to find alost object. Someone else wanted assistance infinding a safe place on a new property to buildtheir home. Yet another person was seekingdowsing assistance to heal a sick home. Theseinquiries covered many facets of dowsing andserve as a reminder of how far-reaching the workcan be. It shows that more and more people arediscovering that dowsing involves a great dealmore than finding water.

With the surge in interest, Heather Wilks and Iare looking at possibly running our separateworkshops again. I hold mine over two afternoons, usually on a Saturday. In my Basic Dowsing classI teach beginners how to get their pendulum/rodsmoving and I touch on many things that dowsingcan be used for. I tend to allow people a month ormore to practice and then hold an AdvancedDowsing workshop which goes into more detailabout geopathic stress in particular but also otheraspects of dowsing.

Heather likes to run one-day workshops. Aswell as introducing dowsing to beginners, shehelps dowsers having difficulty trusting theirdowsing, to build their confidence. She coversa lot of advanced dowsing with a focus onusing dowsing to heal. And she told us at thelast meeting that shes almost finished writingher dowsing ebook.

If youd like to learn more about dowsing ata workshop run by either of us, please contactus for details.

I was very grateful to our Committeemembers for their prayers, healing and supportfor me after I broke my arm. More recentlytheyve been supporting Shahla Deeby, ourlong-time member who also broke her arm in afall and has since had major surgery. Pleaseadd to the Committees absent healings tosupport her while she is recovering. We canthen look forward to welcoming her back with acheery smile over those afternoon teas shekindly arranges for us. Thanks to everyone forsending healing support to Shahla.

I hope to see you at our next meeting onSunday 30 November when member MariMetcalfe will share her dowsing experiences. She divides her time between Australia and theUK. In belonging to the British Society ofDowsers as well as the DSV, Mari offers twoquite different perspectives and experiences.

As this is the last newsletter for the year, Idlike to wish you a very happy festive seasonand a relaxing holiday break. I look forward toseeing you again on 15 February for our firstmeeting of 2015 (when memberships are due

    for renewal).

    NEXT MEETING

    Time & Date:2.00 pm, Sunday 30 November 2014

    (1.30 pm for dowsing practice)

    Place:Mount Waverley Community Centre,

    Miller Crescent, Mount Waverley

    (Opposite Mount Waverley Railway Station)Melways: 70 E 1

Parking at rear, off Holskamp St. which runs offStephensons Road

    OUR NEXT MEETING

For our next meeting on Sunday 30 Novemberwe have another new speaker. Mari Metcalfe is aDSV member who divides her year in two, following the sun. She spends the warmer monthsDown Under in Melbourne and then travels to the

    UK for their warmer months.

As a member of both the DSV and the BritishDowsers attending meetings for both Mari is ina fairly unique position. She can provide us withdowsing perspectives from both the northern andsouthern hemispheres.

Mari will present to us on the topic ofArchaeological Dowsing. She has recentlyreturned from Dorchester On Thames, 8 miles (13km) from Oxford in Britain. Shed been havinggreat difficulty digging in her garden and wonderedwhether the problem may be due to the remains ofa Roman road.

    Depiction of Roman architfacts

The Director of Archaeology in the BritishDowsing Society had earlier visited the Hampshirevillage to dowse the 13.5 acre Allotment (whereMari also gardens) in search of Roman ruins.

Mari was pleased that the Director returned toinvestigate her own garden and with his dowsingwas able to verify not only her suspected Roman

road, but a Roman wall at the boundary of herproperty as well. A monastic building was alsodiscovered, built on top of the Roman wall.

Mari will cover more about the dowsingdiscoveries in the monastic area of DorchesterOn Thames.

This promises to be a fascinating talk which

will hopefully lead some of our dowsers tobegin dowsing with archaelogy in mind. WhileRoman remains are unlikely in Australia ofcourse, theres every chance of uncoveringsome of our countrys own fascinating history.

    OUR LAST MEETING

Mike Morrison was well received at ourOctober meeting. He spoke about his passionas an inventor and shared that his businesspartner quietly checks his engineering resultsby dowsing. Over time this has led to some

valuable fine tuning of detailed measurementsacross his many inventions. These pinpointeddowsing results have led to significantdevelopments which he feels wouldnt haveotherwise eventuated.

    Mike Morrison

Mike talked about his metaphysicaldevelopment which began as a teenager. Hespoke about the wonders of synchronicity, theserendipity that continues to support him today

in pursuing his many passions.Mike introduced us to his Earth Guarden

composter, the Bio Fuel system he created forcomposting kitchen scraps. He described it asan apartment house for worms!

There was great enthusiasm for all thepossibilities of encouraging children to getinvolved, thereby educating them about theimportance of caring for the environment. There was a rush after he finished speakingand Mike sold all of the units he had on theday.

He also introduced us to some exciting newprospects that are now in his sights, which holdgreat promise in terms of putting a great deal

of waste products to valuable use in theenvironment. This covered items like finely-groundglass for use as a fertiliser a great way toovercome discarded glass bottles etc. Anotherwas the value of old coffee grounds as a magiccompost ingredient. He was excited about thepossibilities of sheep manure as a powerfulfertiliser ingredient. And he shared his excitement

about a new high-speed lawn clipping compostingtechnique hed discovered.

After many questions and interaction from thegroup, Mike closed by urging us to get youngchildren as involved as possible to help with theenvironment.

Thats exactly our aim when it comes todowsing. Perhaps its time we put some realthought into how we can involve youngsters tofoster their interest in such desirable pursuits. (Ed)

    GONE IN 60 SECONDS

    By Mick Moran, DSV Life-member.

There are many forms of energy around us.Most we know about, but there are some mostpeople have never heard of. The energy Imreferring to here are earth energies. All matter ismade up of vibrational energy. This also includeshumans. We are all surrounded by an energy field, sometimes called an aura. The earth is nodifferent. It is a living breathing entity and isemitting all kinds of energies, some good, somenot so good.

Many sacred sites from ancient times areon points where the earth energy is positive, giving off peaceful healing energy. But forevery positive point, there is a negative point. This is what Im focusing on in this article. Imsure weve all walked into a building orsomeones home where weve felt uneasy andcouldnt wait to leave again. This is because

the vibrational energy of the place was low. There are many reasons why a building can

feel this way. It might be built on a negativeearth energy point. Perhaps theres frictionbetween the occupants of the building whichcan cause the energy levels to drop. If theproperty isnt brought back to its correctvibrational level, over time it may lead to healthproblems.

If I had read that comment a few years ago,I would have said the author Had a fewkangaroos missing from the top paddock. Id

have thought someone was bloody mad tobelieve in such things. But as I began hearingmore and more on this subject, I decided it wasworth looking into. I began to read quite anumber of books, mainly about dowsing, andIve listened to some fascinating speakers atthe DSV meetings. This all started me on afascinating journey, one Im sure will last therest of my life.

I initially started using an L rod to dowseand then moved on to a pendulum. But as Iprogressed and became more sensitive to

energies, I came to the point where I no longerrequire any dowsing devices for the energywork I do. I just have a knowing about what apropertys energy levels are.

Of course theres a downside to this. WhenI visit a property with particularly low energy orif I even walk near one like that, it can give meproblems. Sometimes I feel a tightening in thechest and have difficulty breathing. At othertimes I can start feeling very sick in thestomach. Id find it very unpleasant to live in aplace like this and Im sure that if I did it couldaffect my health. Unfortunately many people

do live in homes with low energy and oftenthey have no idea about the case. However onsome level the human body is all too aware ofany negative energy around it.

Recently while on my daily ride around thebeautiful township where I live, I was getting anuneasy feeling as I was nearing one of a groupof houses in the main street. I knew straightaway the place was suffering from low energy.Thats not so unusual as it can easily happento a building at one time or another.

What did surprise me that particular daywas that as I rode, I began picking up lowenergy from more and more of the houses. Ididnt know why, but by the time I arrived

home, Id detected seven homes that wereindicating theyd be less than ideal to live in. Asthere were so many I wrote down the location ofeach of the properties I felt could do with a bit ofhealing.

Before I started doing anything, I decided tocheck a few more. I regularly test for low energy inbuildings for some friends of mine, so I thoughtthis would be a good time to check them out aswell. Some places are in Ballarat, some inMelbourne and a couple are situated in Sydney.

After checking each of these I was surprised tofind three had negative or low energy levels. So Iadded them to my list making a total of ten I

believed were in need of some help.

    Ballarat

I knew all I had to do was to remove all the

negativity and low vibrational energy from eachproperty, regardless of whether the cause was itearth energies, friction from within, or from someoutside source. I usually prefer to detect one placeat a time, so it was new for me to have a go atclearing so many at once. I wasnt sure if it waseven possible, but it was certainly worth trying.

I concentrated on the ten properties on my listand went about clearing all the unwanted lowenergy from all of them. I checked the time beforeI started as I felt it could take quite a while. To myastonishment, less than 60 seconds later the

process was finished. I believed it had been acomplete success. On checking, I couldnt detectanything harmful in any of the ten properties. Theenergy levels had returned to normal. I wassurprised to find that clearing ten properties tookno longer than clearing just one.

    Sydney Harbour

The next day while I rode past each of theproperties Id cleared in my home town. Isensed everything was fine. The positiveenergy had returned to each home makingeach much more comfortable to live in. I didnthave go to Ballarat, Melbourne or Sydney tocheck out the other three as I knew everythingwas fine with them as well. Another good

reason of course was that Sydney is over 800kilometres away.

    Melbourne

My own home suffers from these kinds ofproblems too from time to time. It was builtover six points of negative earth energieswhich I havent been able removepermanently. Yet! So from time to time I haveto keep correcting the negativity as it crops up.

Ive found over time that I can detect verysubtle changes in my home which means itsdue to be cleared again. Fortunately clearing

houses doesnt require some kind of exotic oreven erotic ritual, such as running nakedaround a camp fire at midnight on the night ofa full moon. (A very disturbing thought). It is alldone from with the mind and with the use ofintent. Im pleased to say that this form ofclearing can be done to any property anywherein the world without leaving the comfort of yourown cleared home.

    THE 5 RULES OF HAPPINESS

Edited from an article by Burt Goldman, creatorof Quantum Jumping.

You know when you're happy, and certainlyno one has to tell you when you're sad. Butwhat is it that makes a person happy? It isimportant to realize that what makes youhappy might depress another person. There

are people, because of guilt, a feeling they donot deserve what they have, or a feeling theywill lose what they have that makes themunhappy when they should be happy.

Possessions are a poor measure ofhappiness. Possessions are subjective andrelative to the individual and the individual'sviewpoint. Instead, we will use a philosophy asan example.

This philosophy is about enjoying thingsyou like, avoiding or changing things you donot like, and accepting what you cannot avoid

or change by the skillful use of your viewpoint. The use of this philosophy, as embodied in thefive rules, will allow you to test many problemareas in your life and find solutions. With thisphilosophy, you will be well on your way toyour pursuit of happiness.

Rule No 1: If You like a Thing, Enjoy It.

Rule No 2: If You Dont Like a Thing, Avoid It.

Rule No 3: If You Dont Like a Thing, and YouCannot Avoid It, Change It.

Rule No 4: If You Dont Like a Thing, Cannot

Avoid It, and Cannot or will Not Change It,Accept It.

Rule No 5: You Accept a Thing By ChangingYour Attitude Towards It.
