Dr. Michael H. Pfeiffers Aggressive Disturbance at the Zambian
Embassy
Below is a summary of my eye witness account of Dr. Pfeiffers
disturbance at the
Zambian Embassy in Washington DC in July 2007.
On July 3, 2007, Dr. Kings attorney wrote to Dr. Pfeiffer asking
Dr. Pfeiffer for payment
of $2,274 in monthly child support, to provide his previously
promised draft settlement
agreement, for turnover of the child's German Passport due to
concerns about international child
snatching by Dr. Pfeiffer, and unsupervised visitation not be
provided until the German Passport
is surrendered.
During the week of July 4, Dr. King was actively involved with
the Washington DC
meetings of a Zambian business group promoted by the
not-for-profit headed by Plaintiff.
On July 6, 2007, Dr. King hosted a late afternoon reception she
had organized at the
Zambian Embassy in Washington, DC. I was among the attendees at
the reception. During the
reception at the Zambian Embassy, I saw Dr. Pfeiffer, appear at
the reception uninvited, and
aggressively confront Dr. King, who was holding a crying
Ariana-Leila, in front of other dozens
of reception attendees (including many international
dignitaries). He tried to grab the child. Dr.
Pfeiffer visibly appeared unstable, with his eyes bulging with
uncontrolled anger, and clearly
irate at the reception. He made aggressive physical movements
and paced back and forth both
inside and outside the Embassy in full public view of the many
reception participants. Dr. King,
feeling threatened, took refuge with the child to a rear room of
the Embassy in the Consulars
office, and asked the Consular of the Embassy to ask Dr.
Pfeiffer to leave, as he was an uninvited
guest who was aggressive, loud and threatening. I heard the
Zambian Embassy Consular ask Dr.

Pfeiffer to leave, but he openly refused to leave, and stated
aloud inside the Embassy that he was
calling the police. The Embassy staff called the US Secret
Service.
I then saw Dr. Pfeiffer be escorted out of the Embassy, and
questioned by the United
States Secret Service. He stated he My name is Dr. Michael
Pfeiffer and I am a German
citizen. He claimed he was just driving along the street in
front of the Embassy when he saw his
child. After checking Dr. Pfeiffers background, he was advised
by the Secret Service officer
that his conduct was unacceptable, should not have occurred, and
he should leave the area. The
same Secret Service agent then interviewed Dr. King, and after
listening to both Dr. King and
Dr. Pfeiffer, the Secret Service agent said, You have a problem
and advised Dr. King to obtain
a restraining order. I volunteered to drive Dr. King to safety,
and a Washington DC
policewoman provided a police escort out of the Washington DC
territory to protect Dr. King
and Ariana- Leilani from Dr. Pfeiffer. The child was upset and
cried stating to Dr. King, on her
own initiative, that "Poppa tried to take me...I don't want to
be broken... Poppas mad at me... He
is not my friend anymore." As I drove, I overheard the childs
statement.
In light of his threatening behavior at the Embassy, Dr. King
emailed Dr. Pfeiffer and
asked that all future communications be through her attorney
until these matters are resolved.
On July 9, 2007, Dr. King sought and received a 14 day Temporary
Protective Order from the
Superior Court of the District of Columbia. When the order was
reviewed to be renewed, the
judge stated that since the incident did not occur on US soil,
but at the Zambian Embassy, he did
not have jurisdiction to give an extension to a one-year
restraining order.
